Idk if you can see in the pics or not, but no not really. Pretty much bone dry, the only moisture was from the A.M fog.
I only saw about a handful of em, but thats more than I was expecting.

Lets not turn this into the official PNW weather discussion thread. This thread is for PNW active finds only.
5. Do not make threads or posts discussing or reporting the weather. This includes complaining about the weather, asking if the current weather is "good for shrooms", or how long to wait after rain fall to go hunting. As a general rule of thumb, if it has rained within the last 1-10 days, and the temperatures are correct for the type of mushroom you're looking for, and the time of year is correct then it is very likely that the mushroom you are looking for is growing.

Here is another flush of Psilocybe baeocystis, 9/24/2009, Seattle, Washington.

About 20-30 more. I left the babies to mature.

Nice find! These some random finds or patches you've known about? I've been looking for a few hours everyday and have yet to see any actives

Just found them this year. It is two patches near each other in suburbia.
I look for a few hours every day as well. Just be patient and keep your head to the ground. As I have also said many time already in this thread, it is STILL EARLY!
Keep on hunting!

In eastern WA, I'm pretty sure I found some of the Psilocybe baeocystis in my yard. They like grass? I'll post pics later (in college right now) thank god for unprotected networks.

Eastern Washington is nothing like Western Washington climate wise so they dont get the same mushrooms. Eastern Washington doesnt get to enjoy all the wonderfull actives every fall. But i dont know about Baeo's, did they stain blue or what (ile wait for pics).
And that one in the corner thats moist looks like a baby cyan lol.

I went back to the spot where I found the cyanescens last week to check on them today. I grabbed a few this time, but they are growing pretty slow so I left a bunch. I forgot how strong these guys smell...

lol, you talking to me?
I don't know if you're serious or not, but I found this spot last year and knew that I wasn't the only person picking it at the time. I also know that I was the first person to check it this year because I had to peel all that damn grass back to find them.
I have others too, 2 of which are located less than a mile from this one
All the patches I find have already been found, what can I say...
