tektonic, looks like you did great with your first pan grow. do you have some kind of a plastic liner or something in your FC i see? and are you using perlite for humidity control, or something more refined? you said new recipe--what was your old and what is your new, for comparison? thanks for sharing.
looks great so far, houdinihar

thanks man, i'm gonna make a ghetto drawning of what this tub is doing with my mad mspaint skillz, i guess it's like a pmp in some of the functional ways
last grow had perlite to assist in humidty control, i want the vertical space for growth so i said fuckit
my old mix was roughly:
5 cups steer manure 6 cups verm 4 cups BRF 2 cups spent expresso 2 cups worm castings 2 tbls gypsum 2 cups perlite 4 cups water
my new recipe is
6cups verm 4cups manure 4cups BRF 1cup spent expresso 1.5cups worm casting 5-10% gypsum (around 1 cup) 5cups water
the old recipe will not come out of the jar, the new recipe slides out with no fuss i'm glad, because that's the only reason i changed the recipe and sifting all the chunks out of the manure helps a ton too
i just hope the new recipe fruits as well

so you are just aerating the water instead of using a shotgun+perlite?
I also have Panaeolus Cambodginiensis colonizing. and was curious as if I needed to do anything different to a shotgun terrarium to give them more FAE; I am thinking I may section off about 1/3 of the terrarium for these and add air bars and a pump.

i have never had a shotgun fc, i don't think it would work tho
in my tub, the air temp is ~91f @ 95-99% humidity with constant air exchange pushed by a air pump made for a 100 gallon fish tank
cubes blow up in these chambers too, but you have to take the temp way down
but honestly, when i posted threads asking if this would work a few months ago, some people acted like i was wasting my time
some times theres onry one way to find out

Day 5 in the FC:
I have not misted these cakes for over 8 hours, the moisture on the cakes/pins is from humidity alone
There was one tiny pin last night around 10pm and these pix were taken at 7am!
i accidently rolled them in just verm, i have plenty of peat and probly should have done 50/50, whatever, for science!
hopefully i'll get a good pin set over the day i'm assuming i'll be harvesting on thursday
gonna make pan spagetti with them fresh, they smell great, not like cubes at all, i'm gonna try out one of RR's recipes for grilled choomies

Looks great man. I had no idea you could do Pans on cakes. Thanks for opening my eyes to this, I'm definitely less reluctant to give these a shot now that I know this.

Crap, I need "14 days and 9 more posts" to be able to access your "first grow" log. It's hard to find anything to post about when everything's been answered 112 times...
Your setup looks amazing and thanks for the drawing (l33t Sk1llz definitely.)
Your FC looks interesting. Do you have a pic of the outside of the PC posted somewhere? What kind of container did you use?
TiA...

That is awesome. I'm looking forward to trying pans out as im looking for something stronger than cubes. I dont have any pan spores tho. I might try your cake tek since I still have half pint jars from my first cubensis grow. Good job bro!

You are a sick head mate. This mercks using a shotgun, it does work but no way near as good as this shit. Its that constant FAE, it's doing wonders for you Pans. I want your set up so bad but Im stuck with the SG FC.
Oh btw you are a sick head.
