hey. im not sure if anyone has mentioned the following yet but ill throw it in there just in case
usually a lot of towns have organizations to help people struggling. in my town its called dhhr. if you are unemployed or working under a certain number of hours per week, you will most likely qualify for food stamps or rental assistance.i qualified for 200 a month! there are other organizations such as churces that will give you a box of food say 5 times a year. and all you do is go in and ask for help and that you need food. they also might help with gasoline, electric bill, clothes, boots, water. there are lots of people out there trying to help, just gotta find em. also there is a store in my town called rescue mission, its also run by a church. they have got the greatest deals EVER. there was a very nice heavy warm coat in there for 2.50! So just look for spots in your town like this. you can really get a lot of free stuff out of it. good luck to u

How do you find these organizations though? I'd feel kinda weird going into a church asking for stuff and them tell me that they cant do that.

In west virginia, its called the department of health and human resources. So just go online and search human resources and food benefits or something along those lines. Those places can also refer you to other places that will help you. Usually there is a chain of places so you go to one and you get connected in the circuit. Also check out staffing agencies and unemployment bureau. They will help you find a job. A great website they showed me. www.indeed.com
leave the type of job open and just type your city. the best job search engine I think.

They pick up a lot of money holding a sign saying will work for food. A chic can take in $100 a day with no problem.

I don't think being cheap/ripping people off/begging or anything else included in the thread is a direct result of people using drugs.
I added some information earlier on that listed a website or two to find good deals. A few posts above this someone mentioned a website where you could find jobs. There has been plenty of good information, along with some shitty/shady ideas.
Lets leave drugs out of it

It's food for thought though. If more drug users were upstanding social leaders and not petty criminals then there wouldn't be such a focus on anti-drug.
I don't mean to be personal or insult anyone, I just think it is interesting how almost every criminal has drugs nearby. It's a convenient way for authorities to sniff out unlawfulness.

I've known some proper thieves that won't touch drugs. They see drugs as a way to get busted.
Not every criminal has drugs. People that commit crime do not necessarily have drugs. Some drug users steal to get drugs but plenty of people commit crime without the intention of purchasing drugs.
I've smoked pot with residents of the council of my city!

I bet that statistically, a huge percentage of felons are regular drug users or had drugs in their systems when they were arrested.
What if those council members told everyone publicly that they are drug users, but still good people?

True, statistically a lot of felons are drug users.
The people who have a lot to lose will not admit it, they are clever enough to see the stigma attached to drugs, so they would deny it.
Would be awesome if they didn't but majority view rules. If you're in the public domain then you don't put yourself in fireing line no matter what you personally know you've done.

i have been in this profession for nearly 5 years now and the only drug my people touch is weed. and a certain few will do coke. but other than that the typical drug user thief is a alltogether stupid fucking idea. I find it disrespectful to automatically assume drug users are thieves. thats what crack heads do is steal to support their habit hence the bad vibe around rug users. I mean , yea theres certain people who would but as far as weed users , aint nobody tryna steal someones tv or something to get a dime sack.

after a really boring sunday i read through this entire thread....
i think there should be some "fine print"....
such as scamming is illegal....
stealing is illegal...
scamming a mom and pop shop is dumb, if your going to fuck someone, do it to someone who fucks others....
fucking over the welfare system just perpetuates a horrible american debt....

I guess I read your comments incorrectly. I agree that drug users provide excellent scapegoats. And yeah, there are way to many that get sloppy so you hear about them.
However, I like to think that the intelligent users probably aren't getting caught, so you don't hear about them. It sucks that people are forced to keep these aspects of their life secret for fear of persecution.

Oh man, I knew the director of the local food pantry for a long time and she had to run that place like a damn food prison because so many scammers showed up every day. Illegals with 32K day jobs looking for handouts... White trash druggies... Overweight unemployment junkies... Absolutely no shame whatsoever. Welfare needs a makeover.
