Can't really worry about whether Timothy Leary publicized LSD too much or not, or whether he did or did not do more harm than good.
He is dead, and everything that had happened in the past has already happened.
The CIA was already involved with it before it got to the hands of the hippies. Don't forget the entire counter-culture was also over-publicizing LSD, I don't see how something like that could have been avoided.
After all, the psychedelic experience is amazing, and most people that have their psychedelic cherries popped, really want to share the experience with others.
Let's do whatever it takes, to de-demonize LSD and allow it to be further researched.
