Hey Anno,
Is it possible we can add pictures to that?
If so there should be quite a few pictures in the first thread here.

How about adding the possible health risks / side effects from each?

I would if I could. My only bad shroom reaction was this....
"Has anyone ever had this happen? About an hour after eating 4 dry grams I noticed a tingle in my hands. Shortly after my skin and eyes developed a redish tint and swelled a little bit. It went away a few hours later." http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Contams&Number=1078995&page=1&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
The shrooms looked textbook perfect so I have no idea what caused it. As such I'm not sure I'd be much help.

Great.
For those pictures it would be great if you could have 2 different pics at least for each contam. One of the first signs of the contam and one of the full blown contam. A lot of newbies are not familiar with the first signs of particular contams.

It could be something different and there are also at least 2 different species in those plates. When I searched the net I found several different red mold species. One of them - Monascus purpureus is even used in food fermentation: (http://www.allok.com/)
It was so beautiful that I'm almost sorry I didn't keep it.

Great FAQ Anno! By the way, I've been reading in the newsgroup Alt.drugs.mushrooms that common table salt will kill cobweb mold without hurting the mycellium. Any truth to this that you know of?

I heard that one can apply it on casings to stop it from spreading. But this is for bigger projects. If you have a small casing, it?s not worth trying salvaging it really...
