I woke up paralyzed during surgery on my lower intestine and I could feel absolutely everything. I experienced this for nearly two hours and kept darting my eyes back and forth frantically hoping somebody would notice.
This is the first time I've told anybody outside of my family and people involved in the court procedures.
I am surprised that I have not killed myself yet.

I was compensated if you want to call it that. Nothing will ever give me back what I used to have.
I have nightmares every time I fall asleep. Most of the time I'm afraid to go to sleep in the first place. I've woken up in the mornings before thinking I was on the operating table.
I've gone through two failed marriages because I've woken up in the middle of the night and assaulted both my ex-wives since I thought they were the doctors. The first wife got over half of what I was "compensated".

Damn man, that is truly horrifying. It hurts me to hear that another human being was put through that and is still suffering.
Best wishes to you.

Me and my uncle (he happens to be the same age as me and we're best friends) have a huge love for video games. Especially survival horrors such as Resident Evil. We tried other survival horrors such as the Silent Hill series, Eternal Darkness, Cold Fear, and so on. But nothing gave us that fear like the the re-make of Resident Evil. That was until I brought home the first game of the Fatal Frame series...
We started up the game as we always did with any other survival horror. Play at night, all lights off, and a shit load of junk food and energy drinks. I only wish that those energy drinks worked better. The game was scary as hell. The most terrifying game we have ever played. It was a huge hit.
We both started to get tired around 4am and decided to go to sleep. I head upstairs to the 2nd level and he slept in the basement. I'm laying in bed and after about 5 minutes I here my uncle open and close the door to the basement and walk into the kitchen. I hear him walking around and then placing some type of bowl or plate on the counter. I must admit, it did freak me out a bit just because of the game we had just played and its pitch black. So I get up and yelled downstairs at him for freaking me out. There was no answer. I yell again and still nothing. Now earlier we had scared each other pretty bad for fun so I figured he was messing with me. I worked up the courage and headed downstairs to not only see no bowl or plate, but he is no where to be found.
At this point I'm getting scared. I open the basement door and headed downstairs to find him. I knock on his door and he opens it. I ask him if he was in the kitchen and he says,"no, but I know you were. I was about to go up there and yell at you for freaking me out." I must have stared at him in the right way cause his face changed quick. He explained the same story. He too heard the basement door open and shut and someone walking around in circles and then grabbing a bowl or plate in the kitchen.
That night we made a pact to never scare each other again and we never say Fatal Frame out load. We say FF as if its a bad omen.

A lot of strange things like the one I said earlier have happened in that house.
Another time I was up late playing EverQuest and I started to hear someone up stairs walking around. No big deal, I even figured that it might have just been the house settling. Not even 5 minutes later the sounds of walking turned into running. By then I knew it was my little brother. I get up and look up at the hallway upstairs and call out his name. There was no answer. I walked upstairs and looked into his room and saw him dead asleep. When I saw this, and yes I checked to make sure he wasn't faking it, I got really wigged out. I walked back downstairs, except this time with lights on, and went back to playing.
I wasn't even playing for 2 minutes when the sound of something being thrown over the banister and hitting something in the living room caught my ears. I literally jumped in my seat and stared at the doorway leading into the living room. I eventually went to investigate the noise to find that nothing was out of place. There was nothing that had fallen over and there was nothing that might have been thrown from upstairs. I then ran upstairs and woke up my dad cause I was terrified.
To this day I still cant explain it. The next day I even looked again and ask my step-mom if she had found anything that had fallen or was found broken and still nothing.

Lol you know you aren't the first to say that, it is quite possible. The only thing is I've only experienced these odd events in that house. My guess if this is true than my mind uses the house as a trigger

Though then again, I said earlier that my uncle heard the same sound as I did the night we play Fatal Frame. But also on another occasion he was at the house alone, me not even being there, and he told me that he had heard sounds of someone walking around in the dinning room for almost an hour. Every time he went to check it out, the noises stopped and didn't pick back up till he left the room again. Now this doesn't prove much but what was interesting was he later heard items being pushed around in the basement but of coarse no one was at the house but him and there was once again nothing outta place or anyone in hiding when he scoped the place out. Sp either the house is haunted or we both have psychosis...or both I'm not really sure
