Developments in Kerala dependant on land availability
    #10680604 - 07/15/09 08:25 AM (2 years, 10 months ago)

Most developments in Kerala are dependant on the land availability or rather the unavailability of land in this narrow coastal land strip. It is no different in the case of property development. With increased number of people willing to invest in Kerala property, the lack of developmental land in the state has put a major constraint in the overall real estate development of the state.

The need for business and residential properties is on a constant rise in the state and hence the rapid increase in property prices around the state. The land availability falls pitifully short of requirement. The accelerated demand for residential property is proportionate to the demand for industrial purposes.

This has directly lent to the Kerala flat  and apartment culture and the mushrooming growth in this area is a direct reflection of the same. Flush with funds, most residents as well as non-residents are willing to invest in this rapidly growing real estate sector.

This high-rise apartment culture is apparent in a major way in cities like Kochi, Thriruvanathapuram, etc. More and more real estate builders are coming up with ultra modern high-rise projects at par with many international residential buildings. The amenities offered are the very best internationally.

The global outlook of most educated Kerallite and the rise in purchasing ability of a good percentage of the population has greatly been instrumental in the changes in the building industry. The change has been for the good with the market shifting from being a builders or sellers market to being a buyers market.

You registered on our site to tell as about an Indian housing development?  Pardon me, but this sounds a little spamalicious.

Perhaps you could enlighten us as to your own investments in this area, and why you felt compelled to tell us about it?  Are you an Indian native or did you decide to move there from somewhere else?  What is the cost of living like in that area of the world?
