One can easily take for example a mycelium cake of cubensis and instead of fruiting it indoors simply plant it in topsoil as-is (anywhere outside you can imagine, preferrably with a bit of shade though). You can crumble it and scatter it too.

Outdoor beds have NEVER been popular in Florida for no real reason except we are all fucking lazy motherfuckers. It is probable that Psilocybe cyanofriscoso could be inoculated into alder chips and layed to rest in aims for an outdoor bed that was actually perennial. No of you will try though. That's right. Not one of you.  (Hint of antagonism but still very sarcastic language used here).

Could be. I hate going out to a field seeing that it has already been picked. Luckily, the fields I go to are 1000+ acres and they grow everywhere. So, I know if I get there in the morning I will have a great haul, every time!

Already posted this, but yeah.
I found it in the tampa riverview area.
It's only one small cubie, but my first ever find.
So I'm happy with it.

when I move I'm going to have a little over a half acre, some parts with mature oak trees, and palms.  I'm planning on spending a lot of time trying to get exotics growing in my backyard.

Exoctic species like Ps. Weilii, Ps. Caerulescens, Ps. Hoogshagenii, Ps. Villarrealiae, Ps. Tampanensis, Ps. Samuiensis, Ps. Mexicana, and Panaeolus's can all most likely fruit nicely in an outdoor bed in Florida.

so i saw a mushroom growing in my grass, but it confused me because the stem was definitely blue. i know that not all actives are blue, and not all blues, are active. but i just wanted to be certain... if i find a pic, ill post it. but if not, it looks alot like a pan cyan but tiny, with a blue stem... growing straight outta grass.

If its a well maintained lawn that wouldn't be that surprising. You should definitely post a pic.

well im headed out to the  field today. i am pro at IDing cubs but i really dont know anything about any otherkinds of shrooms. I would like to start learning but for today I want to just get magic mushrooms since I am goingto be with some friends. Like I said I know what to look for when it comes to cubes but idk what else to look for when it comes to magic mushies. I was just wondering what some other common shrooms look like so I know to keep my eyes open for them. I am going to get a few pics of some common shrooms i see just to know what they are. I see many many white ones that has an indention towards the middle of it pretty much like a backward cube lol just no brown straight white. White gills aswell. I also see a lot of small shrooms with a very nice mbrella shape and they are really small but they bruise a golden color. any clue what these are? these grow straight out the cow shit.

soundtrance,

beautiful pics man.  You captured images of some amazingly beautiful specimens.
I live in South Florida... I wonder if I can establish communications with some small scale cow ranchers to see if I can take a class into there lands for some in-field identification?  Worth a try i guess. With supervision there shouldn't be any concern for scaring the heard.

I see a lot of posts of people picking cubes that look way less than desirable to consume. I might just be picky, but I only bring back near perfect cubes and copes. And when I get them home I cut off the stem at the cap and I lay them out neatly and clean the cap of each one and put a fan on them for a week or more. That way when they dry out you can consume them without the gritty taste of sand or shit. Just preference, I guess. Also, I cut them up with a blade so I don't get shit in my bag or on them. Does anyone else on here have a special way of picking and drying?

I also like to pick the good looking ones. I like to dry mine in the bottom draws of the refridgrator. I just lightly wrap them in paper towels and place them in the draws and in a week they are completely dry. I believe that the cool temps of the fridge has a lot less loss of potency than just drying with a fan

I can only assume that putting them in the fridge will turn them to mush after about a week.. :o

Outdoors is great. I put a few cakes out in my backyard 3 days ago and within 2 days had some beefy cubes ready to be harvested. :mushroom2:

I only pick them if they look how they should. Any sun-drying or excessive water logged mushrooms I will walk right past. I always cut the base off before putting them into my bag to prevent shit from getting all over the mushrooms. Bring them home, remove caps from stems and fill up the dehydrator for a couple hours and I'm good to go. :mushroom2:

I dont usually care how my cubes look. I think I ate a rotten one once, the cap was totally brown and dried. I didn't get sick though . I don't like wasting them.

Yes they tend to get soggy if you wash them
