money may not be evil in itself then but what it always brings is evil the craving for power and greed for it like honestly do you really need that nice 52 inch LCD is it a need money is not needed to maintain a working society in fact it end's up being quit counter productive in the long run because of the way it work's as you can plainly see with the oil industry today we as a society have had so many chance's to rid ourselve's of it with tesla's wanderclyffe and the electric car and geothermal energy but time and time again the ceo's and oil tycoon's just wont have it and shoot down ever plan to rid ourself's of them

I appreciate that you feel strongly on the subject, and I share your viewpoint to some extent, but to be completely honest, I want that 52in LCD TV. Notice I said 'I want', not 'I need'. You're lumping everyone in society into one category, one that actually is a very small minority. People don't need a big ass tv and a nice ride.
I know this.
MOST people know this.
Does that stop us from WANTING one? No. There is nothing inherently wrong with enjoying television, nothing inherently wrong with enjoying the top down, breeze blowing in your hair with the music cranked on a nice day.
You need to not be so judgemental towards 'society' and realize that 'society' is in reality just millions of individuals all looking for happiness, all finding pleasure in different things, enjoying life in different ways.
Yours is not the only way. If you believe that you know what is 'right' for every individual in America or even the world, you are either confused as to what is 'right' or confused as to what defines 'an individual'.
Remember, its what makes us all DIFFERENT is what makes us all Individuals. Would you really want that to go away?

theres an absolute truth that connects money being evil, and being important for societies system of balancing work for a means to live. it could be different, but there was a history and its not like this came out of nowhere. saying fuck money is you giving up, you could do anything. other people support themselves. money feeds you. money is survival in this world. whether u like it or not. unless you get really really smart and try to live in the wild. but good luck with that. and what if you want to raise a child, and give him or her an education so that they may survive.

Its not that people didn't think of burning shells "back when they were used for money" they just instinctively knew it was a stupid idea. They couldn't AFFORD to burn their last dollar/shell/coin/rock because they didn't have the comfort of knowing in the back of their minds that if worst came to worst, the government would give them food stamps, or that the tribe would take care of them.
