Just got back from 2 hours of hunting. Found about 1-2 pounds (Wet). In the dehydrator right now! Not one Cube, mostly Pan Cyans.

this isn't that big of a deal, but there are several other types of active blueing Panaeolus mushrooms that grow in tropical areas. Tropicalis, Cambodginiensis, and Bispora are three. They can all have very similar macroscopic appearances, and a microscope is needed for a proper identification.
my point is, basically, if someone found Pan Tropicalis it would most likely get identified as Pan Cyanescens,.

Sorry about the lack of pics. I am located in Brevard County. Although pretty much all of Florida should be really happening.

Can anyone name all the actives in Florida? I thought this might help in knowing what to look for.
Most of us know what to look for when we are profiling them , but we always are wondering what is this I just found?
I think a list of them would help everyone in targeting their specie ms to observe what to look for.
I seen a list for all the states a few weeks ago but cant find it.

I found 105.2 grams of Copes and 80.3 grams of Cubes. The one huge cube in the palm of my hand is 41.3 grams. We are definitely in cube season now because am very far down south if I have there should be all over Florida.

Well North Florida has finally started producing, 1 out of about 3 dozen fields I've checked this week, the area these were found in, has multiple fields nearby, that are also heavily covered in cube activity.

Thanks I found the list is was looking for. On a side note: Guys be careful I'm not trying to make everyone paranoid just be smart about things. I can't believe this guy admitted to it after he knew a copter was over head. He had plenty of time to get rid of anything he might have had. Never admit anything keep your mouth shut. http://blogs.tampabay.com/bizarre/2009/06/crossbowarmed-teen-caught-picking-psychedlic-mushrooms.html
Last what is the longest time you should leave a cap on when doing a spore print?

I'll try to answer your question with two answers...
You can begin taking a spore print ANY TIME as long as you have a cap, fresh or dry. Whether or not you'll get a sufficient print ~ time will tell. Take your sporeprints on tinfoil if possible or typing paper. Sometimes cardboard can be a helpful substitute. The best sporeprints are certainly taken from fresh, adult specimens. However, always try to take a sporeprint. What's the worst that can happen? SHe says "no"?

Are you saying that 1 out of 36 fields is producing? I would say that is a very low rate. What part of N FL are you in? I am in north FL, around Pensacola, and the conditions haven't been too great around here lately. The humidity has not been getting above 60% during the day and maybe 80% at night. Also the rains have been infrequent over the last week. Waiting for some strong rains and high humidity.

Just checked tonight and nothing much at all. Found 1 cube and a bunch of tiny pans, not sure if they're active. Definitely not as productive as yesterday.

I still haven't found any actives whatsoever..... checked about 10-12 fields already too... seen lots of mushrooms growing, but not the ones we're looking for... just inactive pans in the fields...
