Nice finds, Its a good feeling when you stumble upon a untouched patch seeing the potential The mushrooms have to spawn over a vast area.

Heh, found some interesting looking ones today:

...and what do you make of these?
...malformed subs? there were a lot of bunches of them in the same area, and none of them had formed caps. They stain blue...

...and these fragile ones look more beautiful with the naked eye, a soft greeny blue tinge to them...

Yes, thats them! Be careful with them, do they feel like they weigh a lot? This interesting species has many microcharacters in common with Weraroa novaezelandiae and I think it should be placed in that genus! Please let us know how it goes and welcome back inski.

...yeah, I dunno, not much of a consumer these days. More of an interested enthusiast, and perhaps a Johnny Appleseed sorta character...always spawning and inoculating...I've done my dash so to speak, but maybe every so often...just spreading the love for future generations...

yeh xenn...dem mushrooms be these so called 'rhizomorphs'...they always grow in low slung clumps....they are sometimes dispersed but i wouldn't be suprised if theres an area nearby where they've gone absolutely nuts...they tend to really really horde if they get moisture and shelter

I went out hunting shrooms yesterday in Tauranga first spot was a kiwifruit orchard and found about 30-40 subs then went to a couple of parks found none. Then i went to a bird sanctuary that had a big bark garden and found a 80-100 subs in two small patches. Someone had been there before me and im guessing they got hundreds and hundreds of them.
Last night i picked out 20 of the biggest ones i found (they were big shrooms caps about 4-6cm diameter) i boiled them for 15min in a cup and a half of water and made a coffee out of it. Good god was it strong i had no idear mushrooms could have such a strong affect. Iv had them before but only ever eaten about 10-12 medium to small sized ones and had mild hallucinations. But this time it was like 100 times stronger there are no words that can even begin to describe the most mind bending experince iv ever had. I would say it was a solid level 5 on the effects scale it made the strongest LSD i ever had seem like it was nothing compared to mushrooms.
