you have mixed collection of active Pans and inactive Pans. the ones that are clearly bruising blue/black are that active ones.

you're right...mix of pan papilionaceus and antillarum. the curious thing is that even though antillarum is supposedly inactive, as i dry them they become blue. so they may be an alternative form of pans; possibly copelandia species. not quite certain.

Way too much rain on my hunting ground. Most of the patties have been washed away. I was able to come up with a handful of cubes yesterday, but they took over an hour to find. We need a break from all this rain!

Well, I found a bit more than last time, but still not too much, maybe 40 g wet. Better than nothing I suppose. Almost got ran over by a bunch of cows too, it was weird. They used to be cool with me, but this time they all bundled together and started mooing at me and stampeding towards me. I had to haul ass outta there.

Yea I found a huge antillarum today, in the same patty as a group of pan foes and a little pan cyan. It's cool how they can all grow together in one patty.

guess i'm not going back to my sweet cope field ever again. this field was the best because it was half very mature forest, half regular cow pasture, and surrounded by trees.
i went this morning and it was great. it's been pouring about every other day in my area. there were about twice as many active Pans out compared to any other time I went out there, maybe the most I'v ever harvested in one go. also found about 4 nice sized cubes in the grass. sorry didn't bring my camera this time.
but anyways, I hunted for around an hour and a half (i have to search through the grass so it takes forever), then left thinking everything went smoothly. so I walk across the street to where my car was parked at a thrift store and get in. As soon as I shut my car door I see a cop pull up to where I hop the gate to get in the field, and he just parked there to stake it out. (btw my buds and I have never seen a cop or had a problem at this field because a supermarket bought the land a year ago, and is waiting to start construction i guess)
i'm one lucky bastard because if I would have kept hunting for a few minutes I might be in a jail cell right now.
