I wouldn't take anything less than 1.5 grams if you want to be sure you'll feel it. Anywhere from 1.5 to 3 grams is what I like

I don't know if I'm supposed to be asking questions in this thread, but I live in Florida as well.
As a general question: Does everybody who posts pictures of these mushrooms take spore prints? Or do people take their chances based upon the stem, shape, texture, and color?
I personally would not... as I am very new to this venture, but I'm sure I'll gain experience in the future.

for cubes its almost 100% by sight, pans you might have to print to make sure...its impossable to confuse a cube if youve seen one in person.

It's normal and smart to take spore prints of mushrooms consistently but once you've seen a lot of a species over the course of months or years, for instance Psilocybe cubensis, you can handle a specimen up close and identify it. There's exceptions here and there, and certainly with other less common species. When in doubt, take good notes and make solid observations. Take a spore print on tin foil or typing paper as a backup. Read the literature that's out there. There's identification books you can buy and there's free stuff here at the Shroomery.

It's been way too dry recently man. I've found plenty this year in the same area you've found nothing in, so maybe your fields just aren't doing their things yet? Idk, but I haven't had a problem finding anything yet. Only gone a handful of times where I haven't found anything. I've had better luck in SE Alabama than I have in Florida this year.

Is anyone at all in the Fort Lauderdale area? I've been asking all the locals if there are any cow pastures or farms anywhere around here and it seems nobody knows of any close by.

Happy Late 4th everyone!! It was a great one. I went hunting on Thursday 7/2 after work and in less than 2 hours found a good amount....

These 'lil guys popped up in my apt in my science project tub - just yesterday...

Happy hunting ya'll!

Hey guys, just found this site after trying to learn more about shrooms and picking after my first successful picking two nights ago....
I'm in SWFL, and could use a little help with some safe fields to visit.
