That's like charging someone who was speeding with first degree murder.
I don't even see how the courts get away with that shit.

The cops would not have warned him. They would have busted him. to me it sounds like maybe another dealer trying to scare him out of the game. or maybe someone he knows that does not agree with him selling did it to scare him out of the game.
but I am almost 100 percent sure the laws would not have called and said that

A friend of mine got caught with 200 pills, his 1st offense. He got charged with possession with intent to distribute and did 5 months in prison. Then he got out on ISP and he is on that for 18 months. He also paid 10k for his attorney.. So I'm pretty sure with the right attorney you can get off relatively light.. Just make sure you don't get in trouble while in jail and make sure you follow all the rules of your probation and PAY THE FINES AS FAST AS POSSIBLE...

The police called him and said "Whatever you're doing stop it right now, if we hear your name passed around again we're going to arrest you."
So, what's the worst that could happen here? Obviously he got rid of everything he had as soon as he found out.
They don't have any proof. All they have enough for is a search warrent.
They could also monitor his phone, so dont' do SHIT on that forever or use another phone. They don't have enough to arrest him.

Maybe some police departments are trying to cut costs and just call people who aren't big enough to warrant coming out and kicking their door in to seize their shit.
Seizing tens or hundreds of thousands from big dealers, along with houses and cars probably seems worth it to them. Maybe some departments are figuring that busting a dude pushing a couple 8ths and selling some pills to his friends is no longer cost effective.

Frankly, that seems EXTREMELY harsh and my guess is that those charges will be dropped. Regardless, he is still probably going to get some felony charges.
NO HE DIDN'T.
Manslaughter is murder with out malice. He got arrested for distribution of a controlled substance. STOP being a noob or stop bullshitting everyone.

DragonChaser that thing RED said about being charged with manslaughter is bullshit.. Nobody gets charged with that. That's just people talking shit and repeating things they think are true which are not. I seriously doubt anybody can provide court documents saying that a man that was caught selling or in possession of E-Pills was charged with manslaughter.. That's just a urban myth.. People used to say this about Acid also..

It's also just as likely it's another dealer trying to get rid of competition. Why has nobody else mentioned this?

BBL I doubt that... What dealer calls the cops on other dealers?? They would get killed for being a snitch and police have to corroborate any evidence.. Police are especially suspicious when they get information from a known drug dealer. In case the case goes to court the police have to explain why they took evidence from a known drug dealer without corroboration.. Everything that a witness said must be corroborated or else it is just hear-say.. They called the kid to try and get him to confess over the phone.. Or maybe scare him into saying " I don't sell anything but I know who does". Then they would arrest him because he admitted selling or can help them find a person who is selling..

Dude, plenty of big drug dealers work with the police and federal agencies, trading smaller dealers in all the time.
Its the way things work.
Thats not what the guy was saying anyway. He was saying he thinks another dealer called his friend claiming to be the cops, telling him he better close up shop.

Dragon I seriously doubt that.. No cops are aloud to let somebody sell drugs just because they give them information about smaller drug dealers.. That's all a myth.. Cops do cut somebody's sentence for information leading to a conviction but no way will they turn a blind eye and let somebody deal drugs just for information... That's a myth talk to a well connected attorney and he'll laugh at a statement like that..

Firstly, i meant what dragon said, a dealer claiming to be the police. I've seen it done before, more than a few times.
Secondly, police turning a blind eye to dealers not happening? Are you friggen kidding?

Unholly I'm sure there has been a few corrupt police oficers out there. But this ain't mexico... Police will not turn a blind eye and let somebody deal drugs. Just because they helped lock up another dealer.. No police officer is going to let somebody deal drugs.. That just don't happen..

yes they would and they do, they get paid off it's just a matter of time before they no longer can payoff the cops , don't want to, or come across one that doesn't do that sort of thing. Cops are the same from coast to coast, sea to sea.
