I'd do it in a heartbeat. Even if they decide to torture/kill me later, it'd definitely be worth it just to be able to interact & live with an alien culture.

My buddy and I used to play a similar game. We'd ask people: If you opened a closet door one day (at a hotel, perhaps) and there was a portal to another dimension -- would you jump into it?
---We said yes, but we'd take our best friend (for conversation) and a dog (for companionship, and food if need be).

Because in the scenario I wasn't offered to join positive forces. And if I pass up the evil alien opportunity - who'se to say whether or not I'll EVER get a chance to join good aliens?
