Ive smoked calea and its extract. I thought it tasted very sweet and enjoyable. I could see myself smoking that just for the flavor. The tea was a little bitter though nothing too bad. Ive had things much worse like mescaline tea. 
For calea to work(on the average person) you need to use it numerous days in a row before sleep for its effects to work/increase to a point that is satisfying. If your dream recall is already at zero and you habitually smoke weed (or even just the nights you smoke calea) then it wont have any effect. After all its an onierogen, it enhances dreams, if you cant remember them in the first place then whats the point of taking it. You also get better results if you smoke it on top of drinking some calea tea. Also the extract has much better results for obvious reasons.
Smoking calea for me, even just once anytime during the day(hours before I go to sleep) is a sure shot way to turn my dreams into full on cartoons. And the concepts are much more absurd than what they already are. People use it for LUCID dreaming (which I am good at) but for some reason the substances makes my dreams way to intense/crazy and ruin any chance of having a lucid dream which normally I can do every night. This really only applies to me though because I am very different than the average person when it comes to any aspect of dreaming.
I suggest everyone to try the drug, just use it properly and you will have more than noticeable effects. Over a long time of use you start having very philosophical trippy dreams that a sober person could never have.
