Found these growing around the base of a tree out in the woods.
Habitat: Around the base of a tree, woods. Central Carolinas. Gills: Very dark brown / rust color. Stem: Hollow and light brown. Cap: Light brown with gold/darker brown on top. Spore Print: Jet Black Bruising: None visable Location:Central Carolinas

Is the spore print jet black, or more like a dark purple/chocolate brown?

Looks like Lacrymaria velutina (sp?) to me. They're a common Psathyrella-like species that's out now.
