In the last 10 years or so and throughout all the psychoactive abuse I have willingly submitted myself to i can honestly say i have never had a bad trip. STRANGE and FREAKY journeys... yes. lol But bad, never. I believe it if from the company i kept while doing said acts. But after effects have been very relative, not as frequent as some people might think but I know that there is something that is misfiring upstairs. Every now and then I get extreme vertigo, even while standing still. Certain environmental factors will set it off as well as dimly lit floro. lights joined with the faint humming of vending machines.
Crazy, I know. But even with lingering after effects I would not change one trip!

Never had a bad trip either. Some weren't as enjoyable as others, but none were unpleasant.

I really liked this poll. looks like most of them that are rated the highest percentage were the same ones I chose. shows how accurate this poll actually is.. very cool.

Good poll. I have been tripping on one substance or another for 16 years although most of my experience is with lsd. With well over 100 trips on lsd alone and only one bad experience(my first)very freshly manufactured high grade lsd,not really knowing what I was doing,and taking a double dose,my "bad" experience was completely my own fault. That being said,I think that's a pretty damn good track record. To bad lsd in this day and age is nothing compared to back in the day. Just my 2 cents,happy tripping everyone.

I have fainted and had many of the negative experiences described in the poll. Level 5 "bad trips" will mess you up. Once you integrate and figure it out its all for the best.

I have used many psychedelics before and I agree that there is some sort of lingering effects. At least once a week I will look at a wall and have it slightly breath and morph slightly. But nothing that can't easily be dealt with. Even if there were more lingering effects I think the positive effect1s totally outlay the bad.

I've had bad aftermath from psychedelics (LSA from morning glory seeds) but never a really bad trip.

During a period of about 5 months when I was tripping on lucy 1-3x a week, I would find that I would still have trails and slight visuals (mostly walls breathing) during off-days. I continued to have minor visuals for around 4 months after I stopped taking it. This freaked me out at first, the people I had been tripping consistently with had looked at me like I was crazy when I told them the effects I had been experiencing. I never had anything negative happen due to the lingering effects (car crash for example), and after the 4th month the effects ceased.

http:// Its close to 35 years since I started the journey, I only had shrooms 2, the last time a couple years ago. Most of the trips were in my late teens to mid twenties.
I was going to college and working. I learned the hard way not to split a hit of blotter at work. I quickly learned that this experience needed to be respected. Another time I drove to the Seaside to watch fireworks, I ran into a torrential thunderstorm, lost the brakes going thru deep water. I didn;t do that again.
It was a great experience, I learne alot about why I was where I was. I felt the total consciousness, I accepted death, I learned to change channels in my mind if I had negative thoughts.
I knew I didn't look fucked up, especially going in Dunk DOnuts at 2am, or taking a bus in NYC leaving a laser show. The bus went thru Times Square, we didn't even know if we were on the right bus.
Sitting in the Port Authority waiting for a bus, in New York City everything goes, you see some wierd stuff. I wanted to know the answer and see the end. Know I am getting close to the end.
I have a 17 year old that is starting her journey. I still get the feeling of trippin when I get hight other drugs. I have gone thru cycles where I just drank beer.
The tripped was 6 years ago, I finally meet someone that had what I had been looking for. I had forgetten that I shouldn't have taken those hydrocodones and beer a few hours before.
I took dried shroom in caps 6 of them, but I felt so drained that I just went and closed my eyes. That would happen drinking and Hydro, but it just magnified.. I felt I wasted the oppurtunity. Hopefully I can requait myself.
I have seen reality that I have created, life seems to have cycles of growth and coincidence. Being close to 60 I have some experience. I don't feel any different than when I was 30.
I am very content with my age, at 30 I still had a lot experiences to learn from. Age is just my body, not my soul, karma or attitute or perception. I just can't read with those fukin glasses, and I loose them, or forget where they are.
I going out to walk Mr Moto, the shadows were very active tonite, I can get lost in them. A-PVP and Pentalone,not much sleep make it an interest walk.

I would say I get mild HPPD after a level 3 and over mushroom trip for a day or two after.
After just one level 2 lsd trip i felt *strange* for a week or so after and each time I smoked weed (I smoke only the dankest of the dank dankness)for a week after I would be as high as After the peak coming down on LSD. Basically feeling very Weird instead of stoned.
I think that when your put in a similar position to when you had a strong trip your body's cellular memory just decides momentarily that you're tripping? Not that cellular memory is scientificaly proven..
Or just more tripping nostalgia.
Mushrooms - No tracer hppd
LSD - Week long tracer hppd
MDMA - Permanent tracer hppd (LOL)
The only 100% consistent hppd issue is green, blue, and purple lights on the side of the road at night while driving.

My first 2 shroom trips were bad trips and on one I had a complete psychotic episode. This was with NO knowledge on set & setting or anything about tripping for that matter. I still had an urge to trip because it was like unlike anything else and opened my mind up immensely so i ended up researching as much as i could about psychedelics and tripping. I can now have a very enjoyable, insightful trip. In my opinion you MUST educate yourself before using psychedelics and are not to be used for just getting fucked up.

Good poll, its interesting to see how other people have reacted from trips. I once had an immense psychotic moment on what I thought was LSD but have been told afterwards was actually bromo dragonfly, in the woods at night and things started feeling very odd when suddenly my 4 friends turned into demons, their heads were twice the normal size, pure white with horns and red eyes, I was screaming and running and as they wer trying to help me all I could see was 4 demons coming for me. It was the first time anything like that happened and I didn't know the hallucinations could be so real, I hadn't really tripped much before that but now I'm more prepared that something like that could happen.
I also had a very difficult and long trip on Peruvian torch cactus but I greatly overdid the dosage on that.
I definately get hppd but I wonder if it was always there before, just noticed more now because it has been so intensified in the past from trips.

I have been the "sitter" at many bad trips.

Me too, no matter how out of control i felt at the time, how much i was holding on by a thread, no matter how much i was terrified out of my wits gripped by terror, i always appreciated the experience and how awesome it was how seconds could feel like hours/days and looked back and thought... WOW, that was something special!
