haha just saw on SBS on 'The Food Lovers Guide to Australia' a segment on mushroom hunters in western Sydney. The host interviewed and spent a morning hunting with elderly members of a Polish club.
They picked and then bbq'd and ate two different types of mushroom. Two that I have seen around on my own hunts. Perhaps i will pick these and try them one day. It was interesting to see the history and tradition of mushroom picking in these European Australians.
I did notice a couple of actives floating around in certain camera shots of the forest. haha, and a couple of the aging forest dwellers seemed to become a bit umm different towards the end of the segment. especially one old girl with coloured stone earings and rings, spiritual necklace etc, who mentioned that "some mushrooms are poisonous and are some are...um um yeah um poisonous".

Its quite possible that there could be active cow patties down south. The problem is you'll have to go on farming land which in no doubt is Private property. Regarding the next hunt and as the season is coming to an end this weekend might be the time to go. We need willing transport First before we go anywhere

I personally wouldn't go in to the show on not with all those massive crowds. Id end up in the cow barn I think the best bet is to have a mate drive a few of you fellows around to suss out the rides from the outer and if your comfortable sure go in and see whats it all about

Ummagumma, the blue one is unmistakably mycena interrupta.
It's always nice to see subaeruginosa pics, no matter the picture quality! Great selection.

That mycena interrupta mushroom looks really cool! Why is it blue? I know that subs turn blue due to oxidation of the psilocybin... are the mycena interrupta active?

Got some photos of some mushies I found earlier in the season. No idea what they are.
1st species
Habitat: cow dung - in pasture.
Gills: very dark.
Stem: brown, slight tinge of purple.
Cap: dark brown, golden shimmer around the base of cap.
Spore print color: Black.
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: Picked in adelaide hills near previous finds displayed in this thread.

2nd Species.
Habitat: densely wooded native bush, mostly eucalypts.
Gills: charcoal.
Stem: pale yellow. 2cm wide.
Cap: pale yellow, like the stem.
Spore print color: unfortunately i forgot to take one.
Bruising: not sure.
Location: nearby the above find.

Habitat of second species.
