Hi mr extreme, congratulations! I believe you have opened the season in Auckland. What was the substrate you found them on? I have been looking almost everyday in Auckland and I haven't found them, yet?

Nice picks so far. Looks like Auckland is doing just as well as any place. I've seen subs and gyms all over my area but haven't had to pick any since I've been picking 1g (dried) every day from my own gardens for the last week.
Can anyone tell me the shelf life of cracker dried subs sealed in glass with silica?

Ive stored up to 6 months with no noticeable potency loss or mold infestation I'd say airtight probably a year max to reap maximum potency.

Nice finds guys, mr extreme, are you certain those are P. aucklandii, what substrate were they fruiting from? Do you have any images of the natural habitat? inski.

Just been for a walk today, seen about 5 different types of mushrooms springing up all over the place!
I'd say after this week of rain and once the temperature drops we'll be right into it.

It's barely rained at all this season and it's been really mild. I don't want to jinx anything but I'm pleasantly baffled.

Anyone had much success with the dosage calculator? Reckon there's a handicap due to first grow potency?

Nice pics mr extreme, Psilocybe aucklandii always fruits directly from clay soil, never from wood, here are some images of my finds of P. aucklandii from previous seasons.
Your mushrooms are definately an active Psilocybe species but I don't think its P. aucklandii. inski.
