Well with that argument you could also say that who's to say there's not a bar where people discuss anything under any subforum on the boards. Themed forums help eliminate traffic/clutter/topics that have their own niche on the board.

A conspiracy by definition doesn't necessarily fit in Mysticism and Paranormal. If it was ghost based conspiracy then yes because of the overlap. Political conspiracy could go in the politics forum.
Personally I don't mind where they go but its more amusing to see them in here as everyone gets so flustered when their beliefs are challenged.
Its like having a religious argument when someone throws out a conspiracy. You get these two extremists one side shouting "nut" and the other shouting "sheep" both as bad as each other. Then someone like me comes along who is trying to unbiasedly study the whole thing.
Its funny to me when I get stereotyped into either side just for presenting a possibility. I've had people go off on one calling me a sheep over UFOs (which I believe in) just because I presented a possibility which if correct would suggest evidence for the opposite side of the argument.
The only nutters here are the extremists on both sides who don't seem to understand how to be unbiased in an debate.

yeah people get pissy, never understand why. the fact that we are so divided on the issue is more evidence of conspiracy.

Right on.
Really you could come up to me with any topic no matter how ridiculous it seems, tell me that the world is never what it appears to be, we are incapable of experiencing reality directly because we are limited by our senses, that most of what we see with our eyes is already existing information stored inside memory from past experiences, that we may just as well be brains in vats, floating around a biological substrate, hooked onto the wires feeding us a virtual reality.. (oh wait)
But I will never call you a nutjob, a loonie, a quack, or a conspiracy theorist for presenting this possibility to me.
I don't have the word "conspiracy theorist" in my vocabulary. I think it's as stereotypical as "sheep" and so lathered with prejudices that it's only destructive to the discussion table.
In fact, I will always look at you as a human being, like me, who is as ignorant about the nature of reality, like me, who's got questions, like me, and would like to get together with others to find answers.
To me these topics are neither political nor mystical. They do often become political when extreme sides are taken and a left/right wing conflict takes over the substance of the discussion.
They're really just about matters of life, our daily life, questions about why our society is the way it is, why it sucks so persistently.
Socrates would turn over in his grave seeing how reactionary we people get when talking about these matters.
I can't stress enough how important it is to be unbiased in debate. I mean at least consider the possibilities. After all, we never really know, do we?

Your telling me you wouldn't have killed Heath Ledger to make one big buck before the economy collapses. Come on, the kid not only made fun of backwoods cowboys, he sold a drug lifestyle to bunches of people.
Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.
Now how long will The Dark Knight hold the single-day box office record?
IMO Heath Ledger broke George Bushes heart: http://twurl.nl/4gl6td
The Beatles talked about this: http://predictablejokerjoke.ytmnd.com/
Plus who can beat this laugh? http://imgladyourdead.ytmnd.com/
but here's the conspiracy part, it might be time traveling Nazi's: http://twurl.nl/vu81hx
