not sure of the weight.. id guess maby 1.5-2 kilo wet.. dry, no idea, i stuffed them as tight as i could into a 1kilo honey jar and put a very tiny bit of honey with them to make a thick tastey paste..

yep still not season i know.. but my theory is.. the ones that grow out of season are the strongest in their gene-pool.. and thus strongest in the craziness-pool.. haha

Another hunt, no actives yet again, but some pretty mushrooms, none-the-less:

 

Does anyone know what the above Mushrooms are?  They're very pretty!  Found them growing all over the place, mostly in cow fields or grassy fields!

Also, some landscape shots for y'all!  The river doesn't usually have water in it.. especially not flowing water!!!

most certainly look like strops to me. great pictures too by the way. is it me, or is there blue bruising on pics one and three? what colour is the spore print? im 99% sure its just me though:( but if you are finding strophs you are well on the right track.

You know what.. I would freakin love to go on a mycological expedition with hunters from all walks, novices, experts, in-betweeners, old, young etc.. would be a lovely day!  Picnics, hunting....

Sounds like a great idea, some sort of nsw shroomery picnic even, although id probably bring some dried yummies, rather than hope to get lucky finding them with all that competition :P

All kinds of hunting, a shroomery expedition of sorts, meet n greet, learn to ID edibles as well as actives as well as other interesting things and take pictures!

I know there's mycological groups out there, but I feel their interest might be slightly different to ours!

Then again, who knows what kind of evil criminals you might meet on a shroomery picnic :P. (shroomery mass homicide of '09)
