"Well, Can I Come In And Get Some Change"

So I come home from work ten or fifteen minutes ago and there is a beggar on my front stoop.
I live in the hood and this is a not-uncommon experience.
He gets up as he sees me nearing my steps and does his beggar-shuffle towards me asking me if I can help him out. I tell him no, as is my custom. I know it sounds harsh, but if I gave money to every bum I see I would be broke and they would be no better of. So I tell him no and tell him that I don't even have any cash, just my keys in my pocket.
So he asks he if he can come inside and get some change.
Are you fucking kidding?

I'd threaten to kill him if he doesn't leave. Not like hes gonna report you and a cop will believe him anyway.
What are you doing living in the hood anyway? Around here if a cop spots a homeless person hes getting arrested and tossed right back where he belongs on the streets of downtown.

I know it is harsh, but it usually works, every once in awhile I give somebody a fiver or a couple of bucks even though they probably won't eat with it like they should.I was at a taco bell drive through one time and a guy popped out from behind the order sign, scared the shit out of me! He asked me for a taco and I said get the hell,I felt kinda bad but he scared me,he was sitting on the curb away from the building when I was driving off,I ended up giving him my order because he apoligized for scaring me,He really seemed in a bad way.

There was a bum who really pissed me off last week. He was in the grocery store entrance asking for change "for food". I usually ignore these guys but I wanted to go in, get a pop from the vending machine and leave. Since the pop machine was beside the guy I couldn't outright tell him I had no change, that'd be a lie. So I bought two and offered him one. He told me no, and he only wanted change. I was furious because he clearly wanted the cash for something other than food if he was willing to outright deny food. I gave him the evil eye and told him "hey buddy, you just asked me for change for food and you ignored me. I offer you food and you say no. Now I ask you, one more time... do you want this or don't you?" Feeling threatened he ungraciously took the pop and recoiled.
It was a wise decision. It was either take the pop or have me throw it at his head. I've never treated someone in need with kindness and have them turn me down. That instantly turned me around into something a lot more hostile. It's a sad world if beggars can be choosers and believe society (i.e. me) owe them something for nothing. Fucking leeches, now I remember why I don't help them.

i was standing outside of a bus station recently. i saw a guy ask another guy something, the guy seemed to get defensive and say no.
guy walks up to me and i immediately hand him a cigarette (thats what i thought he wanted). He smiled real friendly and gently rubbed my head and then said "hey you got 5 bucks?" i said i didn't have any extra money.
he said thanks man, then i noticed he was carrying like 6 leather hats on his arm.
he seemed really nice. i thought him rubbing my head for a second was kind of a cool gesture, i'm normally a pretty defensive person but i didn't get pissed off at all.

Can only be properly performed if you've spent the last few cold nights sleeping on a refrigerator box lining a sewer grate and slugging Camo XXX out of 99cent tallboys.

Some homeless looking dude came to m y door once and rang. my doorbell has a speaker and a camera so I see this dude but I don't think he was homeless, just looked homeless.
Anyway, I told him he had 10 seconds to get the fuck off my front porch and back out the gate before I'd shoot him with airsoft pellets flying at 550 fps. Needless to say he ran off real quick/.
Goddamn poor homeless fucker, gtfo my property and never come back. I wish I ould have gone Texas style or something and shoot him from my window.
