Sup canid , mate i took a heap home to suss them out , printed them and everything else , kept an eye on them for days , not a sign of blue or anything resembling an active.. Though im not up to speed with P. merdaria the blueing is a give away and these things didnt budge from the color they were when picked..

i only had two specimens bruise out of a few hundred examined. you have to remember that is a species where blueing had never, to my knowledge, been descibed before [and probably only a few people had ever payed attention to]
-------------------- Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

i dont' know what you mean by that.
in this image, the blueing is faint, and in one spot on the cap where it rested while partially drying out.
blueing is very often faint, if present at all in some of the active species. good examples are Panaeolus cinctulus, some collections of some of the active gyms, Psilocybe stuntzii, some collections of P. semilanceata/strictipes.

you could probably phrase those questions better.
in particular, what do you mean here:
Quote:
If they aint Slimey They Could b active
hrm? psilocybes [and other mushrooms] have a viscid cap when fresh, and in the case of Psilocybe this is caused by a gelataenous pellicle which in some, but not all species is seperable.
Quote:
Magics have a certain feel What do they feel like?
here i assume you are talking about texture? most psilocybes have a rubbery, pliant texture when very fresh and moist, but this is not specific to that genus, nor the the active species within it.

My last patch is still fruiting nicely. Just picked about 20 nice sized subs. There are about the same amount remaining with pins. I am rather surprised it continues to fruit!

Maybe try your friendly local neighborhood drug dealer or wait until next year and find your own. But don't come on these boards and ask those questions. It brings unwanted attention by the authorities and also it is against the rules. You will get banned if you keep asking these questions.

does it actually matter on season for it to sprout or is it all to do with weather conditions cause im telling you by the time i found about the mushroom season it was to late and my photography book is like empty.

Yeah it does sort of matter for the type of actives that we hunt in South Eastern Australia. They like moist and cool conditions, they generally like temperatures around 12c and these temps need to last for at least two weeks for them to fruit.
I would say your chances of finding them at this time of year are very slim, like you have mentioned it is the end of the season so you might have to wait until mid May next year until they decide to show themselves again.
