Hey bro has it started for you? I've only found a few inactives around and absolute shitloads of A. Mascarias around here! Looking forward to picking my first subs once they start popping up around Wgtn. Been getting much rain up in Htown?

Not active. Maybe in the genus Pholiota but probably not. ID requests should be in their own thread and include the required information from part II of the rules. That pic is too blurry, use a digital camera and turn on macro mode.

First time poster, long time lurker. Had some nice rain yesterday, and there's a bit of humidity today. Mine have a nosey around in my patches near my house tomorrow morning. Not getting my hopes up though.

Welcome!
What are some people's opinions on pine subs? are they as easy to find as ones in mulch? do you think they are stronger?

G'day PM, IME Pine forest subs are harder to come by and not quite as potent as usual. They tend to be taller and skinnier than mulch subs. Juke will probably disagree with this. He did pretty well in his pine forests last year. However I know of some patches that are made up of purely pine woodchip mulch that produce some monsters.
