hello... i got some pics i took at my lake.. i think it may be reishi i live in alabama.. i have heard they r around here.. i am in east central alabama... anyways i'm new here hello to you all .. i have visited this sight for probley a decade ..and have learned alot from lots of you just from reading...

Going soley on a Google images search, it doesn't look much like reishi to me.

I think this one is a reishi. It doesn't look much like the picture perfect google images photos, but its a Ganoderma that seems to have a hard shiny surface, which would put it in the reishi category.

thanks for the feedback... i am thinking it is some type of ganoderma dried up and rottin like ya say... but u can see the mycelium growing out of the mushroom on to a root in picture 1 and 2.. once all this rain stops maybe tomorrow i will cut a nice piece of mycelium off and throw it on agar... and grow it out to see what it looks like unrottern
