Just had my jar in the closet go BOOP. I haven't touched that thing in like 8 months or more. The temps are always the same in here I dont know what would cause it to change pressure like that.

Sometimes my lids go back in or whatever so some kind of pressure is normal I guess. You're talking about the safety button going back in, right?

Hello everyone, I have a question. After agitating a jar, how long should it sit still before pulling to ensure that no NaOH is being pulled up?

takes less than an hour. its is evident when there is no lye water mixed in the naphtha (lye stays in the water so when you see a clear/clear-yellow layer on top its separated)

Thank you, that's what I was thinking. One more question, without doing a sodium bicarbonate wash, is there any way to confirm that the final product is not contaminated with lye? If a jar sat for at least an hour after an agitation (and there was no emulsion), and no lye water was pulled, the final product should be only DMT and other plant fats/alkaloids, right?

yea if there is lye, there will be mhrb too so it will be obvious.
and to my understanding lye is made from ash. so you have a trace amounts of lye in anything your smoke since it turns to ash (not vaporize) which can not be smoked... that's my understanding at least, but i'm no chemist. it would be interesting to see what happens if you tried to smoke lye (i wouldn't inhale it, but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't put off any vapor), maybe just trying to burn the lye and seeing if it puts off smoke/vapor would make a cool experiment...
again that is just my understanding i could be wrong about lye not being able to be smoked, so don't go smoking lye because i said it should be safe... i would do some research to see if i'm correct, but i'm not really concerned about it enough

So... I had a crazy CEV where the world was made up of hexagons each with little health bars ticking down with every second and they were all only about a quarter of the way full.

Finally getting pure white xtals thanks for the help yawls.
I had a vision last night of spinning Mayan scripts, no breakthrough but beautiful CEVs. Seems like if I go a little lighter on dose I can hear my "observer" screaming and tumbling through the CEVs, it's annoying as all get out lol. But again thank you All for the hand ups.

I haven't really been following this thread lately. I remember people saying that the powdered mimosa hostilis did not work very well at all.. Is this true? Or are people still getting good results using powder?

Dude, I can't find shit for vendors in the U.S. I actually emailed a vendor I was using and he responded saying. "good luck finding it. I believe mhrb is gone gone".
WTF! Is this true shroomerites? Has anyone been getting any in the U.S. recently?

So I don't know wtf is going on with my extraction.. I found almost exactly 100 g of bark that I lost a while back. So stoked about this because it seems impossible to find a good vendor atm. But of course I'm having difficulties. I basically just followed the basic instructions. I had two pulls so far and haven't gotten shit. A few little spots, maybe.. The only thing I am not doing by the book is 1. I don't really have a warm spot to keep the jar. I put it in a cabinet wrapped in a towel in a cabinet (maybe 80 degrres). 2. I roll it around once or twice, but I'm not around much to mix it around often. 3. I'm using a new jar for the freezing step. It is a 1 cup pyrex jar with a bit more area than the usual small mason jars.
Can I really be screwing this up because of those minor things? The Naptha has a nice yellow/brown tint to it, looks like it's potent in deemz, but I get nothing. Maybe the freezer isn't cool enough? I have done this before and had decent results. I don't get it. I'm only freaking out because who knows when I will have bark again :/
