Today was an interesting day...
Started off as a normal day.. Woke up on time actually, made it to my Philosophy class early. Nothing really special happened at school. Same old routine. Just a little tweak here and there.
Oh, I did take a Midterm in my Speech Class though. Hopefully I got at least a B, it was pretty easy.
Other than that, school was just at boring as usual.
Saw a girl I met near my art class on the bus today. She had fuzz all over the back of her black jacket.
I'm thinking about giving her one of those sticky rollers that get off the fuzz....~
When I got home I smoked as I most usually do. Sadly, the eighth of incredibly dank chronic I got less than a week ago has already dwindled down to two and a half bowl sized nugs. Hopefully next time I wont get such dense weed and it'll last a bit more than seven days.
So I relax most of the day. I smoke the time away and had a Little Juan burrito with some gourmet barbecue sauce accompanied by a glass of lemonade and a side of sweet television. Up until about 11:11 I was enjoying the fact that I had no homework and was working on phase two of my exploration into the world of psilocybin cultivation.
Four vials of PES Hawaiian arrived today shortly after 7 PM. The UPS guy came to my door and asked for my name. Just then, he looked to his side as if he was talking to someone and said "Alright he's here, you got the warrants ready?"
I almost shit my pants, but he turned back to face me and said with a grin, "Boy, you sure don't have a much of a sense of humor late at night huh?" (or something of the sort) I had a feeling he knew what was in the package but then again it could have just been coincidence. Thankfully, earlier the same day after school I had anticipated my package's arrival and stopped by a local garden center and at long last finally found some vermiculite (I went to 2 Home Depots, Lowes, K-mart, and Wal-Mart and none of them had vermiculite, so I had to use perlite in my other jars of substrate).
So I started making the mix. I got as far through the process as sterilizing seven jars before my living room took a brief trip to hell. As I was walking back into my room with a giant pair of tongs gripping a small jar covered in tin foil, my roommate asks, "What are you doing?"
"Growing Mushrooms." I replied.
Until this point I had given everything I had to keep my project a secret, but I figured my roommate wouldn't believe me if I said the jars on the stove were for a bunch of flowers.
He didn't say anything for a bit..But after about a minute I went up to his door and reminded him to never tell anyone I ever said that. As I returned to my room his rage was apparent.
"Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?" Says M.
I wasn't really sure what to say to him at that point. I was immediately reminded of the fact that I have never really enjoyed my roommates company…Ever since the first day I played golf with him (I’m happy to say during which he managed to hit a ball in the pond).
He’s lectured to me before about certain things and how I’m “above them.” My roommate is unfortunately not aware of most of the facts behind Mushrooms or Marijuana. One of the main things getting his panties in a bunch was the fact that it was illegal. Granted, illegal things are never fun if you get caught doing them, but he’s under 21. My roommate drinks and smokes all the time. Just the other day he spent the whole night on the bathroom fucked up from a mega rip off a bong with a fine layer of kief.
He didn’t used to smoke…That happened this year, and I was surprised at the fact that he saw no correlation between that, and what I had been working towards. I tried to relate this to things like growing flowers or brewing your own beer; but no matter what I threw at him, it seemed as though he was convinced that this was the worst thing that had ever happened to him in his entire life.
He attempted to shame me.
He reassured me that he knows what’s going on in our household and told me that a pot on the stove for 2 hours is a little suspicious. I had to explain to him what it was for…But at this point the was honestly too furious to talk any sense into. He was interrupting my sentences and not letting me talk.
This was when he started trying to convince me that he was smarter than me.
He asked, “What’s next, Heroine, Cocaine?”
“Maybe” I replied calmly (noo not really, lol).
I told him I was doing it for fun, and that when I was finished I was planning on eating my Fruits. I told him that hopefully I would be able to spend a few nights with my friends tripping and talking about life. He constantly gave me the “Yeah, uh-huh, sure” nod.
I told him one day he’ll experience a trip. He told me he never will. I told him that if he were to actually try it that he’d understand where I’m coming from a little more clearly.
While he was yelling at me, one of his friends rang the doorbell. As the debate quelled to a dull roar he told me he was full of rage.
I ended up throwing all of my growing jars and my freshly sterilized jars in the parking lot dumpster. I kept asking my roommate if he wanted to watch me throw it away.
I told him I could even video tape it for him.
He looked at me and threatened to call the cops right then and there (ironically, he never told me what I should do with the jars. I asked him if I should throw them away and he told me “no.” I only ended up throwing them away because I had a feeling that now, if I kept them around long enough, his mouth would run me straight to prison). Eventually I managed to steer the conversation towards arts and crafts and roommates for next year and I was left alone to recount tonight’s episode in the solitude of my chamber.
Thankfully I haven’t used any of my Hawaiian Vials (not to mention you can actually see the spores this time).
I’m just glad I’m getting a new roommate after school’s out.
Hopefully everyone is having a little more luck than I am with their current projects.
As for now…I’m Going hit the sack~

Your roommate sounds like a complete A-hole, he said hes gona call the cops. You should just beat him up in his sleep for saying that to u.

Yeah, the last time I inoculated my I did it while he was gone over spring break. He was gone for a while, I just got unlucky today. That's all.
I probably could have lied and just said "Nothing" when he asked what I was doing and I have a feeling he might be dumb enough to believe me.
I guess I can't say I've done everything I can to keep the whole thing a secret. I used to talk about it casually with my friend.
I'm just too good of a person I suppose. I even thought about offering him to smoke a bowl with me afterward.
At least the jars don't cost that much..

Heh. When I told my roommate what I was up too, he thought it was hilarious. That totally sucks dude. Better luck to you in the future when you have a roommate that isn't one of those people that are constantly looking for something to bitch about.

Roommates are no good man. I got narc'd on by a guy I had been living with for over a year for smoking bud in my room. Luckily I had just finished harvesting fruits or I would have gotten in trouble for that.
It's tough, but its always in your best interest to keep your mouth shut. Too bad you have to put up with that guy, hopefully you can find a better roommate.

That exactly why i dont grow in my own place, except my girlfriend knows i used to grow (when we didnt live together).
people are brainwashed at an early age, and unfortunatly not everyone breaks away form that to form there own opinion.
If you can be responsible without harming anyone else, then why not. The goverments waiste so much money on the war against drugs (and i wouldnt really call mushrooms drugs, when used in the right way) and its not working, it will never work.
Best thing is to keep it quiet and live on your own and not tell anyone. Some people dont even tell there closest friends. Members come and go, ive seen quite a few members suddenly disapear.
Go to the gourmet and medicinal cultivation forum and get some edibles going while you wait on a new palce.

Dude, grow edibles. My roomates don't care. I let them have some free shiitakes/oysters at the end of it, and they let me cultivate.
First response is to be just as shocked as they are like:
"Seriously? I grow mushrooms that you find in stores like shiitakes and oysters. Why would you even think of the other kind?"

You should really start damage control ASAP. Start by ripping out his toenails before you even consider listening to his pleas for mercy. It really softens them up and it's surprisingly easy to tell if they are genuine when they are curled up in a puddle of their own tears and blood.

Already got a couple people that called me about being roommates. I know a good friend of mine that I met in elementary school who wants to live in the same complex as I do. Would be nice to be able to work something out with him.
Yeah, I woke up this morning to him telling some other kid on the phone the entire story. Looks like I'm already a top class criminal. 
 Can't wait until I have my own greenhouse.
Edit: Yeah edibles seem like a pretty safe bet. Never occurred to me that you could grow legal things in these Jars.
Oysters do look pretty cool too...
