ah well thats good to hear. I was very disappointed in starcraft 2 and bnet 2.0 in general. I'm just afraid they're gonna fuck D3 all the way up. But so far it's looking like i'll get it.

Yah I was afraid of the same thing, but it's decent, in the beta you only get to play to level 13, and up to the first boss, Leoric. So who know's it might get different from there, they may change a bunch heh..
Starcraft 2 was disappointing in my eyes, seemed just like Starcraft noting new, nothing exciting. Graphics weren't even that great.
D3 has the Fast paced style of D2, lots of enemies, Many shiny lights goin' off.. But it has new features, a lot of small things but still feels like the next game in the Diablo line unlike startcraft 2 (1.5 in my eyes) lol..
My only problem is the graphics, they have a certain WoW quality to 'em but a little more mature looking, not so cartoonish. But since that is my only qualm with the game I look forward to the full thing..
Definitely worth pre-ordering

The collectors edition looks awesome! I usually don't buy 'em, but for Diablo 3, I feel like that's acceptable. 
I know I've heard early 2012 thrown around, but does anyone know of a more general release date?

Oh wow, it's much closer than I thought.
Better scrap some money together to go buy it.
Or I heard if you buy a year of WoW, you get Diablo III for free.
I might do that even though I don't play WoW anymore, but it's like... why not?  It's a free month.

That reminds me of highschool, me and my friends figured out we could fit D1 onto and run it from a zip drive and would play in graphic design class when the teacher wasn't looking. Good times.

We're changing core character attributes to Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, and Vitality, and the benefits each stat provides is being broken down as:
Strength
+Barbarian damage
+Armor
Dexterity
+Demon Hunter damage
+Monk damage
+Dodge
Intellect
+Wizard damage
+Witch Doctor damage
+Health from globes
Vitality
+Health
That part is really stupid, so now instead of all stats being used, you get life, and a dmg stat -.-
That's so stupidly simple, seems like they're trying to make it to easy. I liked having to hit certain caps on the stats to create a good char. Now it seems like you just have to choose, do I want more HP, or do I want more Dmg...

this system is a good idea in my opinion.
players will still have to make sacrifices in terms of damage, defense, and health.
there may not be explicit caps to the remaining attributes but i think this is a good thing.
within this system items with better stats will yield better results without having to hit an artificial cap.
'caps' will exist in terms of optimal balances between stats and the maximums and minimums required to compete.
