click on pics, then upload them, then copy the code into your post. Pretty simple.
That certainly does look like a sub from first glance, more pics would be good.

johnny_peyote said: i know gymnopilus purpuratus definately grow in WA, in Balingup i think is where they were recorded, & other gyms but they are the main ones of interest. I also read the cops are real arses about mushroom hunters there..
It seems that Subs are most abundant in Victoria, and NSW also but to a lesser extent the further north you go. They are around in South Eastern SA but not as common as in NSW or VIC it seems, and in Perth or southern WA im yet to see a P.Subaeruginosa find..
Im not sure if cubensis grow in WA, but if there are any farmlands that get any amounts of regular rain/watering with cows/horses and grass, then its possible they grow in warmer months along with the other dung species (pans/copes)..
Gymnopilus Purpuratus do grow in WA, it can be seen if you check out the Perth Urban Bushland Fungi Report for Murdoch in 2007 located here:
http://www.fungiperth.org.au/Reports-all/Fungi-Surveys.html
I also think I found a singular G. Purpuratus growing no more than 20 minutes from my house on deciduous wood in a national reserve. I will further investigate the area and report back

Hey Fellas,
Me and a mate went down To Balingup Saturday arvo with no luck. Im pretty sure we went to that tree tree farm place. Walked for a couple hours through the pines. Found heaps of different species but nothing close to active
The Weekend prior Me a and some mates found a shady source for shrooms, This bloke was calling them "Golden tops" and they werent cheap. Turns out they were Gyms. BIG ONES. Not sure what type cause they were all cut into chunks. THey were bitter like fuck! We ate Heaps and felt nothing. Wasnt even worth it lol.

the rains are upon us and the mushroom bounty is obscene. a friend of mine who enjoys the taste of psilocybin subaeringosa seems to think that he managed to find a couple thousand.

Looks like you could have Galerinas there friend. I can see a hint of rusty spores on the top of the stem in the fourth picture. The gills look way off also to be subs and no bruising is present, if that is what you are looking for.

yeah not subs, but interesting. The texture on the caps make it seem like maybe its not galerina, but either way not subs..
also good to see WA in action!
