multi-spore stuck on inside of jars

the title suggests all is well, but i don't reckon it is..: i injected against the wall of the jars but it appears they have stayed there and not mingled.. as under each inoculation hole there is what would appear to be condensation.. but i'm pretty sure the spores have simply stuck to the glass and not touched the substrate much... there does appear to be some gap between substrate and glass...
EDIT: not injecting fully through the dry vermiculate layer is the real problem i thinks...
it's been three days for the ks and not much.. yet my eqs have what i suspect is the beginning after just 30hrs and the substrate for these seems to be touching the inside glass more??
common problem (multispore attached to glass) or just my problem?? thanks

How is the spore solution NOT going to touch the substrate if you squirt 1-2cc in each inoculation hole?

When doing ms injecting (mind you Im a noob so id wait for a TC to chime in) it usually takes me a week to a week and a half to see growth. I'd be wooried if 3 weeks go by and no signs of growth. Patience and GL!!

there seems to be a gap from the inside of glass wall to the substrate (fairly small) but i remember at the time seeing the spore solution squirt against the glass and chill there... i did 0.5cc in each (4) of the holes... but it does seem to be wet around those holes.. spose it could be early condensation.. but 'praps not?

ah here's the problem i was thinking of.. just couldn't think of at the time....
: i think i injected the jars quite shallow.. -> i didn't want to put holes in the dry verm layer so sometimes i don't think it got through the dry vermiculate... does that mean the vermiculate just absorbed it and thats the end of those jars??
i've just done five more and made sure i injected the brf.. so i can report back the difference..

Man, your needle is supposed to be sterile. What are you afraid of poking it through the verm barrier? That's what you are SUPPOSED to do. The spores can't germinate in the dry verm barrier. They need to come in touch with the substrate beneath it. Makes sense, doesn't it?

i wasn't worried about that, but creating a canal through the dry barrier.... (contaminant freeway) that was at the beggining anyhow .. i did the recent ones differently...(correctly)
what do you reckon the chances of the 'baduns working i injected it like probably half way through the vermiculate on the glass... b

It will not penetrate through the dry verm layer. That's why it's there in the first place. So nothing gets through. The verm will just suck it up like a sponge. That's why you need to POKE THROUGH to inoculate. "Contam freeway"? That's silly.

there's alot of spores in the syringes whether you see them clumped up or not.if you followed the tek exactly and were very sterile with everything, and provided you have viable spores, there's no doubt in my mind it's going to work out for ya in the end.BTW when were they inoculated ?

i've done some everyday for about four days... injected some properly today... i'm steadily getting better in my technique (i think?)..
however it's only been four days for the oldest ones and i havn't been keeping the temp to high, probably 65 - 75.. so time will tell i guess.. i just don't want to wait three weeks to find that no spores made it into the substrate...
fingers crossed they do... b
EDIT: i did on todays... but on some of the others it kinda pooled up in one spot...

Just be patient and don't mess with your jars too much. You'll see growth eventually

if it was injected on the glass, at least a drip most likely got through, and if it did that will germinate. It will most likely take a bit longer though.
