My Thoughts on Bad Trips

So yesterday i had a very bad trip. I rode my bike into a state park, locked it up, and hiked deep into the park. I ate about 2 g of mushies and planned to trip solo in the middle of nature.
About 20-30 min into the trip i started to feel pretty sick. I tried to put that out of my mind, but about 45 minutes in i felt deathly ill. For a few minutes i honestly thought that someone was going to find me dead out there. It felt like i had been poisoned. I was having these crazy visuals and all i wanted was for everything to stop and let me get out of there alive.
I didn't enjoy anything at all. I would stop, calm myself down, drink some water, and try to get some food in me. No matter what i tried, i could not feel any better. Finally i was able to hike back to my bike (30 min of pure hell) and then take the bus back to where i lived (50 min of more hell). Finally i got back to my room and layed down, which made me feel a lot better. It was the worst trip of my life.
I've read some advice on threads about avoiding bad trips, but i think sometimes it is inevitable. In my experience from my last trip, nothing could help change the trip. A lot depends on the when and where of a trip.
I admit, going into the middle of the nature away from everything was not the greatest idea on my part, but i feel like i had done everything possible to keep myself sane and make it a good trip. I think the reason i has having such a bad trip was the fact that i realized how serious of a situation i was in.
So, i don't really agree with people when they say that a bad trip is all in your mind. I think that it is not only possible, but entirely inevitable every once and a while if you shroom enough.

I agree. The worst trip of my life was when I was at a friends house, which up until that point was the place I always had tripped at pretty much, and I was in a great mood leading up to it.
To be fair it was a 4g trip (the most I've taken), though I had done it once before, and I took it blended in some OJ (which I'm pretty sure I had done before too), but it just seemed way more potent than normal. It could have just been that I was taken by surprise, but either way, there was still no way for me to know that. Not sure if it would have gone any differently had I taken 3g or something, but... either way, when it was all said and done I wouldn't have taken it back.
Not sure if that actually helps your argument or not, but regardless of my one experience mentioned, I still tend to agree.

you might have been nervous about being in the forest, and when you come up you realize you might not be able to protect yourself if someone or something came out of nowhere, that's all IME.

I was actually planning on having the best shroom trip of my life but that turned sour after the trip started. It just made me sick, and i am still sick from it.
I also think that i should have had a trip partner. While i was in the woods, i was dying for someone to talk to. Just to make sure i would be alright and get out of there alive

Are you actually physically sick? That could be why. Maybe you just didn't know it at the time, but it got exponentiated by the trip.

Yeah, i've got a cold now. I woke up with a bit of a sore throat the day of the shroom trip, but did not really think anything of it because i didnt think it would affect it. But that's a good way of looking at it, that could possibly be what happened. Have you ever heard of that happening to anyone else?
I also ate very little the day before, so im sure that didn't help me at all.

Something similar happened to me last friday. i was feeling a little nautious a few hours before i ate my mushrooms but I attributed it to the usual anxiety i get even before I eat the shrooms. Well , I had a hellish trip(although there were a few good moments) and four hours in i had the dry heaves and the puking and abdominal pain. Felt fluish since, getting better.
Long story short I took shrooms at right around the exact time an illness started showing symptoms= bad trip.

On those types of trips that make you physically ill, there is no way of turning it around in my opinion. All i know is that next time i trip, it's gonna be in a house, sitting on a comfy couch, chillin with some homies
