 price dilemma

Hey guys. i havent yet had a chance to trip on shrooms because i have a hard time finding a source. The last two times i found someone that was going to get me some mushrooms, it ended up falling through. Now i have at last found another person who can get me some, But his prices seem outrageous. He wants to charge me $35 a gram, which is the usually about the price of an eigth isnt it? my buddy talked to him and the guy said that they are brazilian grown or something, apparently meaning they are really good and that they are worth that much, but im seeking clarification on that point because $35 a gram seems like a ton. any comments and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks! peace

man, fuck, if i'd never taken holy mushrooms i think 70 bucks would be a fair price for what you'd get from eating 2 grams. i'd pay 140 if i had too.
thankfully i didn't, i always knew some cool people, but yeah 35 a gram would be a joke around here
except no one would really laugh
but man if you feel like this might be your only chance for a while then do it. seriously what shit are you gonna buy with that money that is going to be cooler than the ecstatic religious experience these substances uncover?
or you could do it the old fashioned way and get him to take out his drugs to sell you and then pull a knife on him and rob him for everything; a tax like that is reall lame.

Man that guy just knows you don't no anything tell him you'll give him 20 for an eigth just act like hes an idiot and if he wont sell um for cheap then peace him honestly i'd rather just buy a half quartre of bud and a mickey get drunk one night and stoned for a couple days.

Fuck 35 a gram... Unless they're azures, cyans, or pan cyans, I MIGHT do it then, in a pinch, if I'd never done it before and I somehow magically knew how valuable the experiences are... but still FUCK no and the odds of them being azures or something else nice are slim and nil.
Seriously man, grow your own if you can't find them for a reasonable price. In less than two months you'll be tripping balls and get all the more from the experience because you grew them and developed a relationship with them.

Price is an abstract concept, and overall irrelevant in the discussion of how much is too much to pay, let me explain...
We attain prices for items based on subjective value and a medium of exchange, if say you had a barter arrangement as opposed to trading cash for a product the mechanics are not dissimilar.
Is it worth $35/g? Well one must look at the selling environment, is the market flooded or dry, is there competition or is this dude the monopoly share holder of the specific market?
It is a matter of at what cost are you willing to attain goods that determines the price you are willing to pay, judging from the fact you are asking I will assume the dis-utility of labor to gain $35 is far too great to expend it on 1 gram in your opinion. I personally agree with the analysis of other posters in this respect and potentially in the other (this guy most likely is a cop).
As for his claim they are Brazilian grown, I have serious doubts on that, it is my understanding imported things of this nature generally only involve large scale bulk, not fresh picked from the earth growing naturally. With this in mind if it was grown in Brazil it would be grown by a cultivator removing the perceived benefit of it being from Brazil (unless of course you value things transported long distances and the relegated expense over domestically grown and subsequently cheaper goods of equal quality). Seems to me that one could acquisition a spore print or suspension vial and with a little elbow grease and a few bucks fill your demand yourself. Not that I am suggesting you do anything illegal, but if the market is so scarce of this product to make $35/g a viable price in your area then it is ripe for competitors to enter the market and drive the price down with an ample supply.
I hope this small dissertation on free market economics helps you in some way... though I am sure you already resolved this contention...

Dude, if you lived near me I'd give you some for free. Like Doc said, you should learn to grow them yourself so you wont get ripped off for an experience that should be free.
