 wtf... why so slow?

i'm trying to watch a streaming movie (the second Futurama) through youku, but it's just loading so fucking slowly. i'm curious if you kids would have any advice on the matter.
i just don't understand because i'm paying not only for regular cable internet, but $10-15 extra a month for the "turbo boosted" edition, using a brand new comp. WTF GIVES!?
AND i don't have any downloads going right now. nor is anyone playing online gaming. maybe 2 other computers on the network doing homework. so it's not that. is it just straight up an issue with my service provider? i've called and complained once to no avail. they suggested it might be my router. but we've got no problem maintaining connections or anything like that.

For me its a common experience on youtube....some videos load instantly and some simply stall or crawl, for no apparent reason. Perhaps its more to do with youku rather than your setup?

well damnit, it's annoying having to let it load for 20 minutes before getting to watch 20 minutes worth.

Youku is notoriously slow in my experience. Being based out of Asia probably doesn't help. Sucks too because I've seen lots of decent links there. Sub par quality though.
Check this out. Be sure to load their applet window, or else the video won't load. This site uploads and streams scene rips (great quality, new releases).
Seriously, don't go back to Youku... 
If I didn't download from TorrentLeech, I would just nab my shit from Ninjavideo. I mean shit, it's so easy my gf does it (to be fair, she did find it  )

Anyways it's most likely the video, youtube has the same problems as well. It's most probably NOT you're connection.

i guess that's not bad... but it just seems ridiculous. i can't so much as dload torrents at 60kbps w/o causing it to take like 20 seconds for everyone on the network to open a webpage.

that's a rather interesting link. i'll try a few of those vids out. unfortunately, that futurama movie in the link was the 4th and last, i still haven't seen the 2nd or 3rd, which i don't see on that list.

Whoops sorry about that, I just assumed the second movie was the latest since I'd only remembered one before it.
Unfortunately, you won't find many old movies on there; it's mostly a new release website for movies and TV shows.

Well if you're torrenting then it's normal for the net to go slow.
You've got an alright connection speed so it is the site, you're connections more the enough for that.
