Ethnobotanical Garden FAQ
i can't be bothered to totally update it myself, to be perfectly honest...
but i do have a few hours i can spend updating/adding to certain sections...
if anyone wants to take a look and suggest any info that could be added, please do so and i'll get on it...
post it here and by all means steal borrow info from where ever you can 
oh ya, and i'm going to put together a list of memorable threads from the ethnogarden to include too, so if you know of any threads containing quality teks etc, let me know.

I'm not sure what kind of parameters you are after with the glossary, but clone, bisexual/hermaphrodite, and tons of others could be added. Perhaps most of the glossary that is there could be done away with.
I also think that the small part on nitrogen fixation should be changed. I think that it is unneccesary and confusing to newbs.
How about a section in the FAQ that actually contains FAQ  . I mean, how many times have we seen overwatered pot and rootbound plants. It's not rocket science.
The thing I would like to see the most is an ethno ID section or sticky that would include pics of the plant, leaves(or spination), flower, and seed. It would just need to be an ID section no need for a bunch of fancy words.

yeah i know lol...
i knew the FAQ thread didn't really tell a great deal or answer many FAQ's, but only now that i'm getting into editing it have i realised how poor it actually is
i already added some more plants terms and put better pics on the climate zone section, done some general tidying up to make it easier to scan through and read...
working from the top down...
edit: it didn't even have photosynthesis, species, genus or pollen in the plant terms section

Yeah, the glossary is hurtin a bit. It would be nice to respond to threads with a UTFSE & FAQ
Its one of those things that may be better if you started from scratch.

fuck that, i'm not starting it from scratch...
at least there is something to start with to give me ideas 
i'll probably end up deleting alot of it though...

there are lots of posts, especially 3-5 years old that are super valuable...i don't think you need to retype the good parts, just link to the discussions....

Cultivation posts, i would think, should make up teh bulk of it cause this is the garden, not otehr drugs/chemistry etc section.

Is it possible to have sub menus/pages or whatever you want to call them?
So instead of having to sift through all of the information to find something
specific you could just click on that type of plant and have all of the information be there.
Right now it just seems long and cluttered.

i agree with you.
you are the perfect person to criticise considering that you are new
it is unreadable as one long post.
so what i was thinking i might do is this:
the first post in the thread will be edited to display like a table of contents, a link for each section.
the link would take the reader to another post below (in the same thread) that contains that piece of info they were looking for.
any thoughts?
