Onother Oyster Question...

Hi Guys, So I am growing Pearl Oysters on pure cardboard right now, and want to keep using cardboard becouse it is so easy to use.
My Question is, can I fruit the Oysters on pure cardboard? I was thinking moist cardboard in a plastic bac with holes.

Yes, they can. Do a search here on this forum for paper or cardboard and you should find plenty of info.
I've done a few grows here on cardboard. It's easy to work with and resists contamination well. It's also very low in nutrients, so your yields won't be so good. It would be a good idea to supplement a cardboard grow with a pasteurizeable supplement like coffee grounds or compost.

I'm currently looking for cultures of the following species:
Calocybe indica, Chlorophyllum rachodes, Lentinula boryana, Polyporus umbellatus

Is there a reason NOT to PC cardboard or staw?
Do you pasteurize it more because of size and bulk or are there certain bacteria that you want to keep?

Ok so I will supplement it with coffee.
One more question, once the mushrooms have fruited for the last time and are worn out, can I put it in new Substrate and "regrow" them?

Um... I'm guessing the reason not to PC something would be that you don't have to? Do you really want to fire up your pressure cooker and spend the time and energy expense to do something that's unnecessary?
Cardboard has a low nutrient content. Molds and other contaminants have a very hard time with trying to eat cardboard, but most of the mushrooms we cultivate can handle it fine. When I use it outdoors I don't even bother pasteurizing it.
There's a lot of good cardboard info in Paul Stamets' Mycelium Running. You should get your hands on a copy!

If you've been dunking your substrate and you've gotten all of the additional flushes you think you can get out of them, I want to say... no. Probably not. The mycelium will continue to grow out on the new substrate and will fruit occasionally but you probably won't get a lot out of them. Stamets recommends using the resulting mycelium to inoculate bunker bags for mycoremediation purposes. (If you want to know more about that, get Mycelium Running)
