is to eventually be able to create your own universe(s) once your soul reaches a certain point in your evolutionary cycles. Questions?

how can anyone create something new... in something that is infinite? And do you think that when you reach that point in e.cycles.. there will still be an ego, which will say "I created this universe, it is my own"...

Have you seen the anime movie Akira? I recommend it. it relates to this in a way, can't say much more without ruining it though.

I would say that is what the silicon chip and digital space may lead to. The potential is there (it's literally unlimited) and we are well on our way, just haven't made it that far yet.

That's more like 'In your evolutionary cycle you'll become a giant morphing monster which blows up into some weird morphing stream-of-consciousness memory ordeal while chunks of rubble fly everywhere'

at the end its a creation of a new universe/dimension. Thats what Akira (who was in those jars) did with his energy, the kids, and tetsuo's out of control consumption and somehow kaneda was released from the atomic transformation energy thing. I can't remember how that happened. The other "kids" were also possible to follow this path, but they were suppressed by the drugs which also distorted their appearance and age. With good reason too, they didn't want another Akira on their hands as immature kids could not be expected to control their powers. I put Tetsuos problem down to his personality disposition. How could someone will little control over themself control infinite power, or is that power controlling the infinite? hmm Well thats just my brief interpretation anywho. Haven't seen it in a while.
Kinda like Evangelion, the Ego of the one in power poses the greatest barrier to purification. But thats another story laced with all sorts of biblical and occult connotations.
Akira is damn cool for a 1988 anime. I hope the live action adaption in 2011 will do it justice. -------------
The power of a god, or demi-god in scientific progress/soul-enhancement, is an interesting one.
reeferaddict69: do you think if we achieve this stage in evolution/gene-manipulation/soul-enhancement that such an area is open to heavy, dangerous, abuse? How can we guarantee that anyone who has found the path is enlightened enough to not abuse it or misuse it? If it were too look like humanity was heading down such a path, it would seem pertinent to find a way to at least reduce the chance of it happening or even stop someone if need be. But how could you? scary thought.

Well the ending seemed a bit ambiguous to me. It looked more like Tetsuo was placed somewhere else in the universe than starting something new.
As for the live action movie, I doubt it will be any good.

Sounds a bit boring, to be frank. I mean, I'd want my grand purpose to be a bit more meaningful than that.

I can do effectively the same thing while either lucid dreaming or on a dissociative.

Maybe learning enough math and science to create a universe would be fun for some people, for me that would be boring as hell. When the projects finally get underway and life starts appearing it's not like you can just 'stop' if you get bored. And they'll never be grateful. You'll be bombarded with prayers at all hours of the night when you're trying to sleep, even if you try to allot a seventh day for rest.
No thanks.

That would totally suck. A great waste of your energy too if some followers start cults and sacrifice babies, or themselves, or start wars.
"Allah is great!" *boom* Yeah i know i'm great, but could you stop making such a friggin mess of what i've created for you bastards.

Nah, I'm pretty sure the whole point of the universe is to collapse back in upon itself creating the spark that lights someones propane grill.

blah... it is pointless to discuss point of universe, and what is the end of the journey... I know this is not place for science, and I can't say I believe it too, but there is a theory of many cosmos or universes, and for now we can not even get beyond our solar system...
...and beside that, for those who are into ET-s, dimensional beings, and channeling stuff, even these beings do not know the grand purpose, beside the fact that they are few dozen thousand years ahead...
...so what is the grand plan of creation? I do not know... right now I think, we are not ready to know... so good luck with speculations
