P&S forum currently undergoing an experiment?

In response to the recent string of Anon threads whining about mean spirited P&S posters as well as the 'butthurt by Mods' threads, the P&S authorities and popular crowd have taken a vacation, leaving P&S undefended and vulnerable to the seething masses of posters who, with their newfound freedoms post wildly without regard to convention, rules, or content regulations?
I will say that I am enjoying some new blood on the forum, but I can see the lesson the authorities are trying to teach.
Who else has noticed this shift in the tides of P&S? Am I just conspiracy theorizing and we're just having a strange week, or what?
I could probably post this in P&S right now and not get modded, but I'll follow the rules and use Anon as the Meta-Wank forum.

I did find it strange that all the usual regulars seem to be on vacation.

I've noticed this too, and even though I've been posting on the Philosophy & Spirituality forum for about a year now, I must admit that maybe I'm at least a small part of this new trend.
The thing is, all of us are Shroomerites, and we all need a chance on every forum. Nobody has been breaking any of the rules, or else the moderaters would've hastily intervened.
I see absolutely no problem with this trend, so long as it does not persist for very long but rather evolves.

veritas and orgoneconclusion are the only ones I can see are gone. I think they had a major impact on the forum(of course). You may be having a nut job conspiracy moment. We will see what happens when veritas returns and if OC returns.

Orgone might be gone for good?
That dude's a complete asshat who seems to confuse sophistry and semantics with meaningful philosophy.

I think its a bit unfair to only apply that definition to Orgone. It applies to most of the regulars on that forum.

OC goes on vacations from time to time but I would say he sets the tone of discussion there more than anyone else. His disappearances are always pretty visible.

"the authorities" You guys sound like a bunch of obama worshipers. Maybe if you had some free thought instead of trying appeal to those self righteous dickwads P&S would be a better place.

THANK YOU!!!
For Christ's sake! Just because OC calls you a fluffernaut and makes a little fairy emoticon, or MT explains to you why every sentence you just typed is retarded for the following retarded reasons, doesn't mean they're right. You don't fucking need to prove yourself right to anyone to develop your ideas with like minds, of which there are plenty who frequent P&S. Just because a couple regs get a kick out of shooting down ideas that don't mesh with their own doesn't mean you have to prove them wrong.
Only YOU can prevent butthurt.

But anyway, I don't think there's any kind of "experiment" going on, and believe it or not, P&S is not an organized conspiracy to prevent you from realizing the truth about reality. OC is just on vacation and there's no one there to laugh mockingly at you when you say no one can deny that you are god, that reality exists, that DMT proves there is an afterlife, et cetera.

I feel the same, thats why i don't frequent that forum. I know of much better places to discuses things, where i don't have to put up with the immature comments which come from the likes of mushroom trip and orgoneconlusion. Sure i could just ignore them, but i prefer to take it one step further and just not go there at all.

The skeptical realists play a necessary function in that forum. They keep discussion far more grounded than the alien conspiracy 9/11 truther wacko bullshit that M&P is full to the brim with.
Even so, sometimes they misfire and hit people who simply have an unscientific way of phrasing their metaphysical perspective. Or maybe they're not misfiring. I don't really know. I exist somewhere between fluffernaut and skeptical realist, like about 95% of people in general.
My point is that your EGO is the only thing making those few antagonistic regs so fucking influential in the way discussion is conducted on that forum. And that's pretty hilariously ironic IMO.
P&S is the shit.

Why would Veritas post often if she's a moderator? She's already paid her dues....
OrgoneConclusion didn't have much of an impact, IMHO....

You make it sound like they only mock illogical arguments. The truth is they mock anything which doesn't conform to their belief system. They are as illogical and ridiculous as anyone i have ever met.
