hydrogen peroxide for plants
    #9714759 - 02/01/09 12:32 AM (4 years, 4 months ago)

ok i want to clear this up.. i read somewhere in another thread that a diluted solution of h2o2, when given to plants it helps the plants grow a bit faster. has anybody tried this because i have a small fungal problem with one of my plants so id thought id give it a try. so how much do i use. i have 3% h2o2 sittin rite here so how much do i add to a diluted solution say.. lets say.. 24 ounces of water. any input on this? i can barely find any info..

ee, i ate too many hasheesh at the moment  so i wont give you any specific amount yet.
but this works really well. i always add a little peroxide to my water when feeding my sallys. think of it as super oxygen, they love it

Yeah, there you go man, ignore my stoned excuse for a response above

When I water all of my indoor plants, I always mix in some h2o2. The roots are always happy to receive the extra oxygen, and in response will give you faster growth, lusher vegetation, and better overall plant health.
It is also great for rooting cuttings; it helps prevent bacterial infection, and helps developing roots to grow faster.

Yeah man, DE is priceless to have around for insects, and peroxide for the bacteria, mold, and fungi (not the good kind of course )

DE was the only thing that finally rid me of my horrible fungus gnat infestation. Most chain stores such as home depot and lowes carry it, and most nurseries as well.

damn, i really need that stuff before it spreads to my other plants.. thanks for the info, ill give it a go hopefully really soon!

edit: also.. i tested the h2o2 on a plant that was kinda dying.. it seems to be better a bit now but i really want to be sure that this dilution will not kill my other plants. i really cant afford to start all over. has anybody else really use this all the time??

No need to be paranoid man, this is a time, and science proven method. Your plants will not die.
If it makes you feel better, I drink dilutions of peroxide with no harm.

3% wouldn't kill the plant if you poured the bottle on it.
