Mac's are absolute garbage when it comes to building a computer for gaming. Windows are a lot more user friendly as they are more widely known and a lot more software is designed for Windows.
Plus, Mac's are stupid expensive. I'd never buy one. As long as you don't download tons of porn, you keep a good firewall up on your computer and run virus/malware scans every once and a while (A lot of programs can be made to scan during 3am when you are generally sleeping) and you'll be fine.

I got a PS3/360 for my gaming, not my computer.
As for user friendly, the Mac blows Windows out the door. I am only 2 years into a Mac and laugh at my 15+ years of Windows use and the stupid complexity I had dealing with it.
As for the software, there is very little if anything I have ever needed that isn't available for Mac.

Compared to Windows Machines with similar actual hardware, it really isn't.

Ok well some people like gaming with PC's. It's the only way you can play true massive multiplayer games and only way you can see games at their true potential. There is a lot more potential for games when they are done for the PC as the PC provides more powerful hardware and a LOT more inputs via keyboard and mouse.
I'm sorry Windows was so tough for you to understand... dunno what to say to that one.
I hope you're joking that Macs are similar in price. You'll have to prove that one.

You may find games not reaching their true potential because 500 players aren't playing against each other while most could give a rats ass. Playing with 32/64 others is fine by me.

Tough? No. Annoying? Absolutely.
As fun as waking up to system errors or blue screens are every few months (without porn, etc...simple work documents), I decided to try another route that actually guaranteed a load up in the mornings.

Joking? Not at all. I built two computers side-by-side at Dell.com and Apple and with the same hardware (as best as I could), the Apple machine was roughly $120 more. I don't really see any massive difference in such.
There are plenty of articles stating such. Instead of giving you 10, here is a nice google link that really wasn't hard to put together - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=MACS+MORE+EXPENSIVE+MYTH&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=

Not many Xbox 360 games support 32/64 players even. They don't reach their true potential graphically. Have you seen Far Cry 2 on the PC then seen it on the 360? Big difference.
You obviously don't know how to take care of your computer then or bought some garbage prebuilt. It's simple to take care of your computer and I've NEVER had the blue screen. I've had my own Windows based computer since 5th grade. You'll run in to errors, rarely, just as I've ran in to errors using Macs, rarely.
Ok, the Dell is still less expensive. $120 is a lot considering the hardware you could buy with that. You can't build your own Mac, so you'll never have that option. Custom built computers are a hell of a lot cheaper than Macs. WAAAY cheaper.
I was helping this guy to build a computer and you jump in here spouting out your perspective on Macs being superior. I can just picture you as being that guy from the Mac commercials.

Yes in fact. Really wasn't that impressed.

Yes, greatly superior and it isn't even close whether it is stability, performance, or feel.

my brother was talking about 16GB of ram for a quad prosessor so there is 4gm RAM per processor. Does that sound right?
and with this case, do I need to buy any fans for it? because on the pictures, there are no fans on the inside http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103010

No that doesn't sound right. You don't NEED quad core. If you insist on getting an overly powerful computer, get the quad, get 8GB ram, and get dual vid cards.
That case has two enormous fans.
Btw danlennon3, read your PM's.
