 Just got an email: "Looking for a drug dealer interview"

From time to time I do some journalism work. Mostly photography, but sometimes I'll write stories. I was the executive editor for the college newspaper for a while. That's there I met my exgirlfriend who I'm still friends with. She got her degree in journalism and has worked at Sports Illustrated, The Star Ledger, and Radar Magazine, so she knows a bunch of people. Now that you know the back story, here's the email:

Hi <gumby>. <your ex> told me I should contact you. I'm an intern at New York Magazine contributing reporting to an upcoming feature on the economy. I'm looking for a drug dealer to interview about how the state of the economy and last year's market shocks have affected their business lately -- someone who currently deals (any drug, doesn't have to be their main source of income) in the NYC area. If you know anyone who would fit, it'd be much appreciated if you could get me in touch with them. I would be doing the interviewing. They would be COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS in New York Magazine, as the editor has already assured me. This is for the weekly print magazine. I need to find this person over the weekend, so please let me know ASAP.

I'd like to help the guy out but I doubt that would fly with any of my dealers. I might give it a try, just to help the dude out. If it works I'll post the story here for you guys.

For your sake I hope the title doesn't read... "Drug Dealer Taken Down By Undercover Journalist"

Yeah, I only know one who would have done it (a best friend of mine) and he has since quit dealing and is now a full time college student and a substitute teacher at elementary schools in the area.
I'd be be afraid of how other dealers would react.
If any Shroomery folk in the NYC area know someone or are interested in being the interviewee, shoot me a PM.
