I can tell you that looking for the vibrations will be the thing that keeps you from getting them. I began getting a deep vertigo and complete loss of sensation of my physical body. I liked it and began trying to get it, and that was when I couldn't. Because that form of deep contemplation requires the cessation of mental activity. And actively searching for an experience is a manipulation of your experience, which requires mental activity.
Good luck with your meditation.

i get that like every time i meditate in my legs. usually it starts in my left foot, spreads up to my knee and other leg, then begins to intensify.
after a few more minutes i don't feel it anymore and my body also loses all feeling and im just like a floating consciousness in perfect unity with the world.
sometimes it can take 5 or 10 minutes to be able to use my legs again after a meditation session. it's like after having that energy in my legs for so long i lose control over them, and it takes a minute to get that back.
what do the vibrations mean?

I don't think it means anything specifically. I think it means that we are concentrated in one or no-pointedness enough that are awareness is removed from the normal "macroscopic" sense of our body, to a more subtle one. Sometimes it feels like I'm zoning in on more subtle movements or energies in my body or mind. To me, it's just a symptom of the withdrawing of the senses. Like you said, eventually it stops and we feel as if we are only a field of consciousness. The body isn't gone, but the sensation of it is.

the vibration is a side effect of concentration, or absorption. if your attention shifts to the vibration from the point of focus both your momentum in meditation and the side effect of vibration fades. it is entirely a side result or artifact of the mind concentrating.
I always am encouraged by it, and I occasionally forget and trip out on it.
I recommend staying with the simplest meditation, and not trying to make it other than it is.
seeing things as they are is much more valuable than astral dreams.
