so for maybe a month or so around my area, i've heard about nothing but dank bud. and i've seen some of this, and its not that good. i've also smoked some of this, and its not THAT good. i got better for free from my friend as a gift.
everyone's talking about 'afghani' or 'purple goblin' in which appears to me as just hydroponically grown typical weed around here. i mean, its not too smelly, not frosty at ALL almost, and its usually just a dark green. the best i've gotten recently was from a friend, when i was grabbing some boomers from him, he just gave me a little sack with maybe 1.8g in it. a tiny little nug. but that nug was my dream. woody smelling, light colored, not incredibly frosty, but visible trichromes, and a smooth tasty smoke with a very clear, mellow high. also shaped like a tiny brain. i was very pleased.
so i've quit smoking for a bit to save myself the 20 extra bucks to get the same shit.
but i'm still on the prowl for that same brain-y goodness 
anyone else having this problem?

Here in southern california I get nothing but Chronic.. except for an occasional high mids sack. Especially since a couple of my friends have med licenses.

They have cannabis cards. Not med licenses. There is a big difference.
Southern California is also paying way more than up in Northern California (clinical wise). LA seems pretty good, but there is a lot of mids floating around in san diego with the mexican boarder so close. There is plenty of dank, but there is also plenty of shit. Not so much up north.
Hydroponically grown weed does not mean shit. An overwhelming majority of growers do not use hydroponics. Unless you know the person growing, chances are real good it was a bulk soil grow.

Damn man, that sucks. Keep looking around for better hookups or grow your own plants. I guess Im lucky I live in Cali because its real easy to get incredible dank every where you look.

The afghani thing sounds a bit dodgy. IME (and for all I know), practically all cannabis that comes out of Afghanistan is hash (often black and soft charas-like).

Sucks ballz bro. I'm in a different situation all together. Their is no non-dank around me. I couldn't even tell a soul where to get some regs or anything else. I want to buy some blunt rolling weed but its nowhere to be found around me (usually I roll blunts with dank, but I wanted some shit pot so I could roll personal blunts for me and some friends).

I am in a place where I can't get anything but dank. I know people in medo county, as well as in humboldt. I live in the south however, friends come down and practically give it away.
Fuckin northerners have it made or something.
Yeah so cal has a lot of scarey bud around in the deserts and all. LA is pretty alright but prices can get jewish if you don't know people.
If I hear "Well it gets me high" I don't smoke it.
