im pretty blowed, and i was thinking about crazy stories that i have that are totally unique to me and only a few other people. i love hearing stories like these, and i'm sure that some of you have ones like this, given the nature of this forum and the kinds of people it attracts. my story is about being cursed by Voodoo priests in Haiti.
i went on a mission trip to Haiti when i was sixteen, as a last ditch effort to save my own religion. i had always had doubts about literalist christianity, even when i was 8, so this trip was supposed to be evidence for me that god exists.
i stayed in a mansion owned by an evangelist who was a Haitian native, and our church had given him most of the money for his compound. it had fruit trees, running water, DSL, TV, a fridge, etc. it would've been a sick house even in America. starving kids laid out by the giant stone gates in front, but they weren't allowed in if they weren't church members.
one night while me and roughly a dozen people from my church were there, Voodoo priests held an elaborate hour long ritual outside the gate. we could hear them chant and beat drums, and the man who owned the house, Enoch, verified that they were trying to put a curse on us.
when we went outside the next day, we discovered that the Voodoo priests had slaughtered goats and chickens and smeared their blood on the gates. it pissed me off that not only did Enoch deny starving children food for being non-believers, but that the Voodoo priests wasted good food for their dumb religious ceremonies. food that could've fed people who were dying of hunger.
the only part of the trip that i felt good about was helping build a school for the Haitians, even though it was a mix of a modern school and a church-school. about 6 months ago i found out that the school collapsed and killed 30 people, it made Yahoo headlines. I lost my religion at the end of that trip, and it felt so good, like i had been living in a mental prison for 16 years and had finally realized that i could just turn the handle and leave.
i don't believe that the Voodoo curse killed my faith or collapsed that school, but i find it all strangely ironic.

twice i got so high on dxm i was completely incoherent and got taken home by ladies in a process i don't understand. the first time i slept in the closet, the second time i slept under the bed. didn't put out either time.
thats really crazy considering i've never been picked up by a lady while sober.
i'm talking doses of like 800mg of pure. there is no way i was speaking anything approaching english and i must have been walking all kinds of fucked up, holding onto the walls and floor for support.

Onetime I was squatting behind a McDonald's. I got picked up by a multicolored bus full of hippies and driven to a million dollar horse ranch. One of those ones that looked like a big extravagent cabin but had music studios, saunas, hot tubs and shit and a panoramic view of some mountains.
The guy who lived there was a street performer until he married a lady who was a multimillionare. They were both crackheads on top of that and constantly fought, but she always bought him something expensive and then they made up. There was a gutter punk guy there too and he was terrified of horses.

Ah, I was cruisin' the roads around our town with a close friend last July, showing off my personal chill spots and smoking the green stuff. I eventually take her to a very tall mountain several miles from town which will someday have developers crawling all over it. This mountain has a decorative garden and an expensive hydraulic gate at the entrance, and paved roads about 2/3 up from there, at the half way point, the owner has an RV parked to the side which he uses as a daytime office, leaves at around 8:30, then closes the gate. Anywho, I take her up to one of the peaks and we admire the beautiful sunset over the lakes and the town over a good bowl of dank. At about 7:00 I mention we have to leave before the owner does and locks us in. Once we reach the gate, it seems as if he had left early... After about an hour of trying to find another way out, it just wasn't possible, and dismantling the hydraulics to the gate wasn't either. So i wind up walking over the curb into the garden, kicking down the fence that joined the gate's outer walls, and driving over the shrubbery to freedom. I do want to mention that the destruction of property probably didn't amount to too much money, and there were just no other options.

I have a knack for getting into misadventures. One of my buddies who I hadnt seen in a while was telling me about how he missed hanging out with me because something strange and interesting always ends up happening.
Ive got hundreds of em.

Sam, that girl I was talking about hangs out with me for almost the same exact reason; I'm a random motherfucker and bizarre things always happen to/around me. I have another story about being pulled over when I was younger and dumber buzzin' on beer, smoking some herb, and just got done hitting a rock out of a friend's bag, just to pull out of the parking lot in the middle of the night with only my parking lights. I had over a lb. of weed, excluding our 1/2oz. baggies in our pockets, open container, beer cans everywhere, and 7 popos pulling sobriety tests and trying to get me to consent to a search...

I randomly had my car jumped by an airplane mechanic today. He whipped out a voltmeter that was in his trunk to test my battery and alternator to make sure they were working correctly. Then he found out that I have a bad ground connection in my car that is causing my battery to die and he fixed it for me, free of charge. Pretty fuckin cool experience.

My haunted car was pretty unique.
Onetime I was babysitting for a radio DJ and while looking for some food for the kids in the freezer I found a tupperware containing some innocent looking sugar cubes. I popped one into my mouth because I enjoy sugar.
About 40 minutes later I start seeing all these weird patterns everywhere, like fractals or something. I take a box of crayons and start drawing spirals on a paper and all the colours intermesh and then I see the letters "A, G and H" in the pattern. I see a guy there too. The pattern is also on the carpet. I go into the bathroom where I see it biggest in the bathtub grout. I see a guy get run over by a train, it is very graphic and he looks like roman or greek art. It is all purple orange and green. His skin rips open, bones pop, spinal fluids and blood gush. I ask what his name is and the winds tell me its "alfret gilmour haytes". There are traintracks running right behind the house and a fence seperating it. I see a guy with no head run and jump over the fence and then it loops back. and replays. Unknown to me the home owners had experienced paranormal activity in the kid's room also.
I told people about it.
The next time Im over there Im in the kitchen sitting at the table and I felt someone grab me by the pony tail, pull my head back and slam it against the table, this happened 3-4 times. I thought I was having a seizure at the moment but later I found it was the vengful ghost.
It followed me and posessed my car. THe car's clock would display thingsl ike "6:66" "4:20"( if I was smokeing) swastikas and upside down crosses. Things a car's clock is not supposed to display.

I think I'm gonna keep a small ziplock of powdered sugar in my glove box just to fuck with cops if I get pulled over and searched. That'll teach em'.

My dad was a salesman and was carrying samples of pesticides in his glovebox once. It was the late 60s or 70s and he had long hair, bellbottoms and an orange bow tie. He got pulled over and the cop sniffed it, put some in his mouth and took it to the lab for testing.
