 Marijuana and the subconscious

I have always been interested in how marijuana highs can bring out your subconscious , maybe not at the level of lsd but I think it makes you way more aware of it. I've been thinking that one of the reasons marijuana can cause social anxiety is that it brings out your thoughts to the surface and when you are so aware of your thoughts around people it can be uncomfortable. This thread isn't about anxiety though. I am curious what everyone thinks about marijuana and your subconscious.

To me marijuana is hardly more psychedelic than alcohol.

To me marijuana is very psychedelic... it can induce a trip similar to a shroom trip, open eye visuals, closed eye visuals and time dilation. But that's only when I haven't smoked for a long time. If I smoke regularly, marijuana is indeed hardly more psychedelic than alcohol.
Anyway, I think you have a good theory there, never looked at it that way, I guess maybe weed makes you hear/feel your subconscious better.

Marijuana has the tendency to make me feel like I am on very low dose of lsd sometimes. It makes me live in my head when I blaze a lot. it is very trippy. but maybe I just have a psychedelic mind? Marijuana can be one of the biggest mind fucks for me even though I smoke almost every night.

Bringing out one's subconscious seems like much too vague a concept to be worthwhile.
I certainly become more creative whenever I smoke, and I find myself able to more easily comprehend multiple perspectives about a singular issue (particularly when thinking about philosophical topics, but the insights apply to personal psychology as well).
Is this what you mean?

Yea in a way. I get a lot of personal insight into my own psychology. I think the personal psychology insights have to do with the subconscious, make sense I think.

When I'm really high I can feel like I'm tripping out, but I think it's just paranoia or something. Like.. I suppose that's contradictory, but whenever I get scared when high on pot I can always convince myself it'll be fine. There's no freaking out or losing touch with reality. It's too easy to find my way back to consider it psychedelic. Probably if I didn't smoke so much, but I dunno. I've cut back, and it's more... high feelings, but it seems more to change my perspective on reality instead of changing reality itself like I feel psychedelics do.
