I can see some pretty good analogies to the 2012 hype; and the K2000 past hype/scam.
Have you any good ideas on making money out of this fear state?
Include ideas on generating the hype (marketing) to enhance the profit center.

Before you take the high and mighty road, perhaps you need to think about how much money is circulated everyday based on some fear or another. If this is a true statement then you are implying that there is acceptable fear profit, and unacceptable fear profit. I don't discriminate that way.
If you think really hard about it, I'm guessing that you can find something you pay for (or have paid at some time) that is based on one of your fears.

Well, it is a fact that most money is made on that emotion.
But do you have to use this negative pattern to create bussiness?
I don't think this would be the right thing.
By the way, i believe you would have a marketing problem, besides very small demand.

Real estate should go up by '12 but it will probably keep dropping before then. That's why I'm staying out, atm. Get rid of dollars because dollars are going to tank. Just keep enough to operate on. I have gold which has gone up recently. I should invest in oil somehow.

Dude 2012 is the first days of the post-money economy. If your profiteering, you can't win a ride on the spaceship to the alien prison you think is better then the prisons we all build for ourselves on earth. Yeah right.
Get some dudes from argentina to mail you a bunch of a random plant or two from argentina and make up a news story about an amazing herb cleansing formula discovered in some mayan ruins to cleanse people in the final days and advertise it to the gullible hippies in the magazines you see in co-ops. Lie about being an MD and PhD to sell it. Grind up designer drugs in it. Charge 395 dollars for 4 teabags. Let their gullible brain do the rest. Compared to costs you only need 4 or 5 sales to recoup your investment, and everything else is gravy. The more outlandish your claims the more likely large groups of morons will believe you. After 2012, disappear.
It's unethical and against nature to go hungry when aggressively idiotic robots have money you could use your brain to talk them out of. I commend you on your desire to make money, and your willingness to exploit peoples ridiculous beliefs. Most human beings act like sheep almost constantly, because they have been bombarded with conflicting sensory signals and cultural messages for so long. In order to be effective, the shepherds must be better than the butchers at manipulating sheep. This takes practice.
