 Im new to mushrooms. HELP!

Hello everyone. Im new to mushrooms. I really want to try them but I have no idea about where to find/buy them or what season or anything. I know that some are poisonus and there are lots of different variaties. I just want some basic information about mushrooms and where to find them. I live in Adelaide Australia and I need help. If anyone could please give me basic information about it that would be greatly appreciated.

Most people who eat mushrooms have smoked pot before (MOST that I know anyway, not all, most)
so if you smoke ganja just ask your weed man. He should be able to point you in the right direction. Then decide from there if you like it or not.
Edit: Its true that there are lots of poisonous ones, but if you ask someone who you are steadily giving money to, the odds are he isn't gonna want to kill you.
