xbox360 internet question

Is it possible to plug my xbox360 into my laptop and use the laptop's wireless card to connect to the internet? (as opposed to dropping 100 bucks on the xbox wireless card)
My network adapter shows up as "wired" but I get a "failed" message when I get to the IP section. Is their something I need to configure on the xbox and/or my laptop to do this?
Ok, well I got the media center extender working, so it looks like it could be hopeful.

i used this little guy for hooking up my xbox, you just run a small cable from your xbox ethernet port to one of the ports on this, then you can set it up to connect with your router, and your on. However, it is now much more expensive then when i got it, i think i got mine for 69.99...
Anyways, there are others out there just like it, you can definitely get something much cheaper than the proprietary M$ stuff.
peace

I think you should just be able to go to your wireless connection, right click, properties, and click the radio button to share your connection. Then plug your xbox into the ethernet port on your computer.
