 shroom ban in amsterdam

hey, im going to amsterdam on 22-25 jan, and i was wondering if i'll be able to get some shrooms out there. I know theres the ban and everything, but how strictly is the law being enforced and are there still places selling them? Also would you be able to find people selling out there?
Just hope i can get some out there!

I expect a lot of places will still have them under the counter. If not, no doubt there will be street dealers offering them.

Definitely. In the week first week of December, a couple of newspaper journalists attempted to purchase some shrooms. When called on the phone, most smartshops stated that they didn't sell shrooms anymore. When approached in person, most shops did sell in fact.
There's currently a debate going on as to the enforcement of the ban. Ministry of justice does not take up this responsibility at the moment and some politics argue that enforcement is in the hands of local authorities. Essentially, it is left to the discretion of the mayor to deal with this. In practice, no actual enforcement takes place and I have not heard yet of any arrests being made.
Even though distribution of fresh shrooms is not hindered in a major way, the legal status does have its drawbacks which you probably will notice. Being an illegal product and its illegality being rationalized by bad PR caused by tourists having bad experiences on shrooms (and causing harm to themselves and others), some smartshops will undoubtedly not sell shrooms anymore. Some of them undoubtedly will, of course.
A possible resort is the street dealer channel which has responded swiftly to the recent ban; it shouldn't be too difficult to find a street dealer who will gladly sell you some. Of course, this brings on the issue of quality and pricing; whereas both aspects were regulated in the pre-Dec-1 situation, resulting in a good product for a fair price, the possibility is now very real that you will be ripped off.
The chance of actually being ripped off will be enlarged by the fact that many large-scale shroom cultivators have had to cease their activities; the risk of prosecution with bad outcomes now larger than ever. This will result in scarcity of supply, which will trigger a two-fold response in the consumer market: higher prices and uncertain quality in the sense of dealers offering low-quality products or even bogus stuff such as dried shii-take.
In short: finding shrooms in Amsterdam late January should not be too difficult. Keep an eye open for what you're actually buying, though. If you can't get any shrooms in Amsterdam, try one of the cities in the East or the South where the whole shroom-ban/tourist-bad-trip issue receives less attention and getting a good product for a fair price may be easier.

Don't worry, Shrooms are still sold in Amsterdam, it was on the Dutch and Belgian news, they said that Amsterdam won't cooperate with the government and that they are setting their own rules, so basically it's the same principle as in America, every state for its own. Basically the coffeeshops won't take the crapban. Enjoy & have a nice trip!

I think there is a website that helps you learn how to grow mushrooms.Maybe if you search the web really hard you can find it.Then you will never have to go looking for shrooms.

I doubt his holiday will be long enough to grow them 
Nor would it be the best idea to start trafficing them if you have a grow op going.
