Spawn to Hpoo While Away

OK so here is the question. I have to leave over the holidays for about a week. I have a few jars that are 100% colonized. I am thinking of doing a spawn of the BRF cakes to hpoo and tuck them away in the incubator while I am gone. Is there any harm in this plan? Can I add an additional layer of poo over top of a fully colonized tray and then re-incubate it for even more growth or is this pointless and I should just case?

Yes there is something wrong with that plan, don't incubate hpoo trays. Leave them at room temp to colonize. And there is no reason to put a layer of poo over a fully colonized tray, fruit as is or case.

I use to prepare rye jars and spawn to hpoo/straw then take a weeks vacation up to my ex girlfriends place some hours away, always came back to healthy substrates but if a problem does happen you're not going to be able to take any measures to stop it, pretty futile when contaminates occur anyways.

SWIM's WBS to HPOO fully colonized in 4 days, then cased and fruited in another 7. First grow.
Z-strain, but it was WBS:Spawn @ 1:1

So if I go lighter on the spawn it will take longer to colonize right so I would want to go shorter than 1:1 right?

As this is the first time that I was going to try this I was going to go small. I saw these small plastic tubs at my local discount store they are about the size of of grown bread pans say 12" long by 6" wide and 5" high. I also have some of the larger pans that they send Chinese take out home in and thought i could try it in one of these as well.

Actually, I agree. It was a combination of things: first grow, leaving town needed a fast colonization, fear of contams and over abundance of colonized WBS (I was afraid I'd lose jars to contams and knock on wood it hasn't happened yet).
